3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kdm1984 (153) - Missouri, USA - APR 4, 2012
Sweet caramel, full of flavor, hoppy, dash of malts - very IPA-like for a pale ale, so not typical for the style, but still quite good.

Bottle @ BrewDog. Golden amber colour, reasonable head. Fruity hop aroma & flavour. Light with citrus aftertaste. Great one.

Bottle. Wonderful fruity hop aroma. Crystal clear gold body with slowly rising bubbles and a thin, off white head. Not a bad pale but not digging the finish. Has a bit of a fresh hop aspect but not in the ideal way. I have a bit of a pet peeve about ales that are crystal clear. They really should have a haziest that shows the beer was brewed properly and not completely filtered. Not much lace. Overall an above average pale ale.

(bottle). A golden color with thin head. Distinct hop signature with very little lacing. Fairly untraditional for this style.

12 punce bottle. Pours a brilliant copper with a hint of lingering head. Beautiful hops nose. Is mildly bitter that lingers a bit for aftertaste. Not too shabby.

Pale amber with white head. Aroma of light, sweet malt and moderate grapefruit and pine. Flavor is sweet biscuit malt and pine bitterness with some citrus. Dry, bitter finish with residual pine. Very good hop play going on. Just another solid, easy-drinking Lagunitas beer.

Heavy flavor from the American hop. Good citrus taste with fine bitterness. Tastes like an IPA.

Bottle purchased at the Wegman’s in Niagara Falls New York. Pours a pure copper colour with a fair sized white head that leaves behind these tiers of lacing like rings. Smells fresh and almost caramel. Tastes sweet and a little bitter (which hits the back of the tongue). Nice underlining of maltiness.
