3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 presario (4137) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 26, 2009
Bottle. Hazy dark amber. Light bubbles. Good citrus nose. Agressive hop flavour. Strong straight forward citrus. Lip smacking good. Not overpowering for a hophead but a liquid delicious hop experience. Reminds me a bit of Full Moon whereas I wrote the old Dogtown reminded me of SNPA and had more malt.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 pintbypint (1611) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 17, 2009
12 oz brown bottle. Orange/gold in colour. Creamy head, 2 fingers in height that holds throughout the entire drink, sticky lace. Aroma is fruity with a soft grapefruit scent, some lemon zest. Soft malt character, lemon/grapefruit hop flavours. Bitter grapefruity aftertaste. Mild lingering bitterness. A lot of crisp tingling carbonation, mouthfeel is light. Solid APA.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 mike mcneil (660) - St Augustine, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Pours a deep gold color and initially creates an attractive fluffy and pillowy white head. Unfortunately it fades to a light wisp of thin foam quickly. Simply delightful hop aromas right out of the gate with lush notes of citrus rinds, pine and flowers. Some light toasted malt aromas also sneak in. Mouthfeel was smooth and slightly slick, however slightly thin with an ample amount of carbonation. Flavors are much like the aroma profile with just a huge hop presence for an American PA. Clean, crisp and tangy hop flavors of grapefruit, orange, pine and spice are right up front; very IPA-like. Some subtle pleasant and balancing toasted malt sweetness can be perceived in the background. Overall this is one of the best valued APA’s you can find. Solid!!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Goodgrief (1656) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JAN 3, 2009
Citrus aroma wafts from a crystal clear golden brew with a one finger head. The flavor was strong grapefruit, with some lingering pine. Sweetness balances the fairly strong hop presence. Thick oily mouthfee, not very easy drinking. I don’t think I could handle more than one. A hint of off flavor in there kept this from being overly enjoyable.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy off white head with some lacing and amber color. Aroma is citrus-grapefruit (simcoe) hops. Taste is sweet citrus-grapefruit (simcoe) hops-some bitter, faint light malt. Nice, reminds me of Smuttynose IPA. Mild carbonation. Medium body. Thanks jwc215 for picking this out.

35,5cl bottle @ VinensVerden, Odense. Pours copper with a creamy head & handsome lacings. Nose is fruity hoppy. Lots of peach & grapefruit. Quite floral & extreme dry & bitter flavor. Crisp! A bit weak palate & vague bready malty hints! Better than the regular Dogtown pale ale! Enjoyable!
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 thewolf (8668) - Kolding, DENMARK - DEC 5, 2008
Bottle at Ølbaren. Thank you Faroeviking. Pours lightly hazy golden with a small, creamy, off-white, film head. Super aroma with lots of wet-ish hoppiness. Centennial dominating, lots of grapefruit and a little pine. Some sugary malts behind it. Fine, dry mouthfeel. Flavour is plesantly hoppy, though the malty balance behind is a bit weak and sugary. Still quite drinkable.
