This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

From a 12 oz. bottle it has a honey color in the glass. Aroma has little cinnamon with a freshness to it from the hops. Taste is bitter with some pine. Almost similar to an IPA. Long finish.

Medium sized offwhite head with good retention and spotty lace. Lightly hazy, orange/gold hued ale. Nose of citrus, lightly sweet malts, leafy earthiness.Body is lightly medium, nice carbonation, lightly oily. Malts are not as sweet as expected, caramel, bready notes with citrusy and earthy hops. Dry finish, citrus, light resin. Bottle from 5000 in trade. Thanks Andre!

Tasted from bottle into nucleated pint glass. Poured a deep amber color with some chill haze and creamy off-white head, long-lasting with a little lacing. Standard aromas and flavors of an American craft pale ale, but amplified. This one is darker, higher gravity, maltier, hoppier, and fruitier than usual, much more closely resembling a classic IPA. Hops are very grapefruity, likely Cascades or a similar American super-alpha variety. Tasty and highly drinkable.

A beautiful APA. The pour is cloudy golden orange with a thin off white head. Some good spotty lacing. The nose is hop forward with a big fruity note with definate tropical fruits present. A sweet caramelly malt in the middle with a impending hop bomb on the finish. Sweet and slightly resinous with lovely fruits such as grapfruit, apricot and peach. This is a great brew...very IPA esque.
