This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

Bottle. Clear golden color with a medium sized pillowy head. Nice citrus aroma with orange candies and some grassy quality as well. Flavor lacks the orange of the aroma. More grapefruit flavor, some grassy hops, and finishes slightly bitter. Fairly light bodied and maybe a touch thin, but otherwise this is a really enjoyable pale ale.

dark gold with a big bright white head... hoppy pale ale, very dank backbone that I really enjoy, some grass and pine, not much malt at all though, really like it though... taste is not as successful as the dank pushes forward, almost feel like Iím drinking bong water, again all hops, no balance... great start but finishes weak

12oz bottle pours a hazy golden orange with a moderate bubbly white head with good retention. Aroma is light and grassy with floral hops. Similar flavor, with sweet malts and loads of bright hops. Not terribly bitter, but definitely sharp in flavor, with hops lingering past the finish. Really tasty and perfect for a summery Saturday night.

Pours a clear brassy color topped with a short white head. Smells of fresh hops and a hint of apple. Lots of carbonation here... almost has a champagne-like appearance and mouth-feel. Each sip begins bright and bouncy, followed by a surge of sweetness and tailing with a dry finish. This is a mighty pale ale - some might mistake it for an IPA with its medium body, but itís not exactly ultra-hoppy. This would make for a great summer beer - light enough that you can have a couple at a cookout, but possessing the character and depth of a stronger IPA.

Clear orange with a puffy little off-white head. Aroma of tangerines and lemons, other ripe fruits, pale malt. Taste is very fruity and a little malty with a distinct, yet well balanced, hop bitterness. Thereís so much of a fruity aspect to this that itís hard to tell what kind. Medium-thin bodied, refreshing, finishes slightly bitter and quite dry. Very nice.

Appearance: Pours a bright amber gold with a modest sized white head. Leaves behind a great deal of lacing.

Aroma: Big floral fruity hop nose with a touch of malt sweetness. Fruit cocktail like.

Taste: Bitter, earthy hops, citrus essence, sweet toffee malt. Very clean.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, prickly carbonation.

Overall: Great, very hoppy, easy going down, love it.

12 oz bottle: Appearance is golden brown wit small off white head. Aroma is of a mix of flora and citrus hops. Taste is distinct with the floral and citrus hops, but also a mild malty backbone. Solid beer by Lagunitas.

Bottle. Gold and clear with a foamy white head. Nice fresh citrus hop aroma with some pine. Medium to light body, hoppy, but of bready malt, light bitter finish, a solid pale ale.
