COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

strong aroma of newly peeled grapefruit, really unusual and inviting...slightly cloudy amber orange appearance fluffy white head good lacing..taste is a tingly very refreshing dose of citrusy hopsand more citrusy hops, maybe resiny piney hops blended in..I didnt mention much maltiness? because theres not much to mention, the bare minimum..easy to drink, pound down or just sip and enjoy very flavorful especially for the low abv

Bottle. Clear gold body with a short white head. Clean aroma of Cascade hops, pale malt and a small touch of caramel malt. Medium body, frothy carbonation, good malt support, good malt acid, medium+ bitterness. All elements well-expressed and in balance. Crisp, hoppy, a little fruity and a faint bit if pine resin / sap. All around respectable beer, I only wish it were around 5% instead of 6%.

355ml bottle, 5.9 % abv, from Systembolaget Luleå, via Gaute. Airy white head creating good lacework to the glassware. Clear copper coloured body. Solid hoppy aroma, fresh and fruity with grapefruit to the fore. Taste is also fruity followed by citrus peels and a little touch of pumpkin. Dry, bitter end. Rounded and easy to drink. Morish (shared with Finn, Tromsø 29.05.2013).

I love it, it is a great all around beer for whenever wherever, lots of foam and perfect balance with hops and sweetness in the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours an orange-gold with a thick white head. Aroma is pronounced pine & candied citrus rind. Taste is awesome. Strong pine resin and nonspecific citrus up front and in the mid palate. A really likeable hoppy bitterness creeps in for the finish. One of the best pale ales I’ve had.

12 oz bottle served in a lager glass. A: this has the powerful hop aroma of an IPA, or even a DIPA. The aroma has some citrus but more herbal/earthy elements in it reminiscent of skunky weed ... uh, from what I’ve heard. T: plenty of hops in the flavor too. Again, nicely herbal with some grapefruit in the aftertaste. Very enjoyable. M: Medium body with a hint of syrup; medium carbonation; some warming and harshness from the alcohol (and hops?). O: A very tasty, highly hopped APA.

Aromas of biscuity malt and plenty of citrus hops with a hint of floral/grass. Pours clear dark yellow/golden with a fluffy white head that lingers a bit and leaves lacing. medium/lt body and smooth with a dry finish. Well balanced and has ample hop bitterness for a pale without being overbearing. Bitterness has as aspirin note in the finish, but not too bad. Overall a very nice pale, but i expect nothing less from Lagunita at this point.

Fra flaske på Cardinaltreff juni-13: her er det mye aroma og smak å glede seg over. God balanse, passe bitter. Deilig og med litt sødme (tropiske frukter) mot slutten. Lagunitas skuffer aldri.
