This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2013 Traditional golden beer hue with a nice white head and a light hoppy aroma. It has a smooth hop taste and an even smoother finish, Excelente!

So far my personal favourite pale ale. Crisp, smooth, perfectly balanced, orangey, bitterfresh, West Coast-tasting.

Appears a translucent gold with a healthy, clean white head. The aroma is dank hops of the herbal and juicy orange and lemon. The taste provides a sweet cereal grain like Honey Nut Cheerios with a citrus twist. Friendly dry lemony finish.

Bottle from Bridgend Service Station. Hazy golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Very faint lacing. Aroma of orange and hay. Flavour of tinned orange and bitter hops. Thin to medium body with a sharp, fizzy mouthfeel. Pretty solid, but not as distinctive as other Lagunitas beers I’ve had.

Nez bien équilibré bien que léger. Très porté sur les agrumes. Petit fond vert très agréable, très frais. Bouche très légère, un peu trop. Après l’équilibre est niquel entre un léger maltage, les agrumes, un petit fond vert/résineux.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from One Stop Market. Appearance is clear, gold with nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with good retention and sticky sudsy lacing. Aroma is citrus, floral, light pine, over malt base. Taste is as aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with foamy texture, average carbonation and mix of bitter and sweet finish. Overall, solid all around.

Bottle at home. Pours a golden colour with a creamy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, fruity hops, grass, pine and more tropical fruits. Similar flavour with more grapefruit, grassy hops and pine. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a medium to heavy bitterness. A hoppy and well balanced APA.

Yeah this one works for me. It smells great, feels refreshing. Slight minor sweet vague malt existence so if you have a complete aversion to that flavor in beer this might quietly nag at you. I keep my distance from malt these days and this amount is not too bad. Didn’t realize this brewery was owned by Heineken. can’t escape the long rude consuming reach of capitalism. soon there will be just one brewery: Budweiser.

Tap - good size foamy head, clear medium gold color, fairly big citrus and earthy hop aroma and flavor, mild bready may backbone, good dry finish, very good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
