This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

A solid pale ale with a bright taste of hops and a hint of sourness. A lovely light brown pour with a honey yellow tint. I get the feeling I’ve tasted this type of beer from Lagunitas before, without much variation. Still an interesting beer though, and worth trying.

Pours a light straw gold with two fingers of frothy white head diminishing gradually to a thin skim and moderate lacing. Nose is dominated by hops, pine and citrus, with very little malt in the back. Taste is dominated by grapefruit, maybe a very little dry cracker. Mouth feel is on the light side, with an astringent and oily hop finish. A nicely hoppy pale ale and very drinkable.

Draught at the Euston Tap, London on 28 March 2014. Poured a clear, deep golden colour with a dense white head. Aroma of fresh hops, citrus and biscuity malt. Initial flavours of ripe grapefruit, passion fruit and chewy malt. Finish was very nicely rounded hop bitterness, mixed with syrupy fruit and dry grain.

Pours a pretty and appetizing clear amber - not much head, but that is how it got poured. Bold aroma has sweet malt and resiny hops in equal strength, almost more an IPA than a "regular" pale ale. Flavor is more hoppy than malty, scarcely bitter, with a whisper of caramel. Firm texture has a strong, persistent fizz. Will have you barking for more!

Keg @ Euston Tap. Seems this brewery can do no wrong. Great hop aroma, great hop bite, floral with a slight bitterness. Hugely enjoyable American Pale.

A- Pours a crisp copper hue with a nice, 2 finger frothy head. S- Very fragrant and hoppy, floral, plinyesque. T- Very floral hops up front and throughout, light fruits in the middle, grapefruit towards the end. M- A bit thin with lots of carbonation. D- This is an excellent offering by Lagunitas. Strangely reminiscent of Russian River’s IPAs

Flaska från SB. Ganska klar bärnstensfärgat skum. Fint krämigt vitt skum! Doftar fint av humlen, men någonting surt sticker igenom. Samma sak med smaken, fin första touch men något surt förstör festen tyvärr.

The history behind it is so cool, adds some to the taste. Guys that have that good taste in music must now what they are doing.

On tap at Euston Tap, London. Heavy aromas of candied citrus. Medium light body. Crisp lingering acidity.
