This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

Very good Pale Ale! Citrus is the taste, just enough hopiness, one of the good pale ale on the market, Lagunitas FTW.

Radiant light orange golden, frothy white head. Beautiful full hoppy aroma, grapefruit, tropical fruits, pine, grass, along with balancing sweet maltiness. Flavor follows. Everything is excellently balanced. Aromatic and flavorful and great drinkability. Great apa.

Light hoppiness, tropical fruit aroma. Was a little hard for me to pick out at first, but after a few good whiffs it was there. Taste is very refreshing. crisp hops, pine, fruit, satisfying.

from Bier-Bienne - translucide bronze beer with a persistent white foam; a fait piney hoppiness with notes of quinces and bread; full-bodied, light sticky and lively, fairly bitter; dry with long notes of quinces and resiney hops

Bottle, 10C. Golden amber with a white head. Sweet and earthy aroma of pine, citrus (more orange than grapefruit), biscuit, apricots. Medium body, just a little overcarbonated for me. Soft sweet malt is quite biscuity with some stone fruit, mid register citrus flavours and some pine ooze through gradually to a dryish moderately bitter finish. Not a flashy beer, but everything works together.

Poured from bottle. Strong citrus aroma. Pours a clear golden with frothy white head. Taste is medium bitter. Light to medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation, with a bitter finish. An interesting pale ale with some peppercorn flavour.
