This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

Aroma is full of fresh hop aroma, so much it dominates the aroma, but somewhat sweet. Color is pale but a bit orange like an IPA. Taste is also like fresh hop and sweet, complete with bitterness. Palate is frothy and bitter.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Pours clear, copper, nice off white head and nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruits and hops mixed with some malts and caramel notes. Taste is hoppy, fruity, and malty (in that order); typical pale ale. Drinkable, enjoyable and quite good, another solid offering from Lagunitas.

Pour clear golden with a rich white head. Tropical aromas with hints of resin and a lot of pine in the taste. A bit of caramel malt, too. Medium bitter finish.

Clear yellow golden with a very thin white cap. Earthy floral and sweet resinous nose. Good but at this point the standard pale or India pale aroma from Lagunitas (honestly are all their pale ales essentially the same or is it just me?). Good hoppy flavor with orange rind, sweet floral resins, earthy fresh hops and a light dose of pale ale malt and light caramel tones. Crisp and hoppy and refreshing with the right amount of quaffability mixed with light pine, sturdy floral resin and citrus rind.

Nice hoppy beer with low bitterness. Smooth, and no woodiness. A fine cousin to little sumpin. Lagunita does it again.

12oz bottle shared. Poured a medium bright yellow color with white head. Aroma is typical lagunitas. Medium malt base, citrus and tropical notes from the hops. The flavor holds true to form. Nice malt flavor with plenty of bitterness from the hops, lots a citrus and fleshy fruits. Overall another solid offering from lagunitas.

På flaska från systemet Gyllengul vätska med vitt högt skum. Doftar härligt av söt sommaräng. Mjuk härlig smak med en mild beska.

Aroma of malt, oranges and citrus. The taste is fruity with a touch of peaches leading in to a strong bitter finish that hangs around for quite a while. This is a real workhorse, and there’s always a couple following me home

on tap at Bertucci’s - fruity & hoppy (both in a good way). It’s hoppy but not too hoppy and citrusy/fruity (possibly apricot?). Overall - very good & drinkable.
