This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

Bottle. Pours clear golden with a medium sized beige head. Very hoppy aroma, pine and wild strawberries. Bitter hoppy taste, pine, tropical fruits and lemon. Light/medium body, dry bitter finish. Nice.

Draft in a taster - nose is piny cat urine. Malty backbone with strong citrus notes. Solid and makes me express my satisfaction with inarticulatable sounds. Perfect combination of sweet and bitter. Standout!

Bottle. Dark gold with a huge fluffy white head. Pine and grapefruit aroma with bready/cracker malt. The taste follows. Soft mouthfeel. Standard pale ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a perfectly clear golden yellow color with a very healthy head. Aroma is citrusy and piney hops with some grapefruit which fades to a good sweet, biscuit like malt. Taste is a light bitter to start with a fantastic biscuit malt middle, probably the best biscuit note I’ve had to date, finishing with another bitter grapefruit, hoppy note that makes your mouth water. Overall a fantastic beer, Lagunita’s should be proud of this one.

33 cl systembolaget. Drack direkt ur flaskan. Doftar fruktigt. Smakar fruktigt med tydlig besk eftersmak. God.

Bottle. Having this for the umpteenth time and for the first time in a glass...
Pours clear piss yellow with a frothy white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Aroma has mostly citrus and piney malt, some faint malt. Taste is sweet with lots of citrus and piney hops. Light body, high but soft carbonation. Dry mouth feel. After taste is is dry and has a lot of tangerine/grapefruit bitterness.
A good "to go" beer.

Tap. Golden pour with white head. Smells of malt and hops. Sweet malt start with a slight bitter hop finish. Good hop flavor but not a very strong flavor ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Deep golden pour, only slightly occluded with small bubbles visible rising in the beer. White head an inch thick, spotty thick lacing. Strong, bright citrus hop aroma, biscuity malt too. Soft carbonation, clean finish, mouthfeel of average viscosity. Strong hop flavor that’s only slightly bitter. Fresh juicy grapefruit, pollen, pine and biscuit malt. Incredible APA.

Draught at the Soho, Tampere, Finland. Clear golden colour with a small white head. Fruits, mild bitterness, some sweetness and pine in the aroma. The flavour is... delicious... fruity and piney hops, moderate bitterness, strong malty notes and it grows... great brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
