COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is not the original Pale Ale as brewed in far away 1993 in the back of the Old House of Richards Building in West Marin hamlet of Forest Knolls right next to little Lagunitas. It is way better. Back then the beer tasted like broccoli and kerosene and the carbonation ate right through and drained your stomach into your gut...

The right balance of bitter, sweet, and bite. Amber colored, lots of laces, strong finish.

Tap showing gold with straw honey tones. Well filtered. The nose shows a mix of moderately intense pine resin and tropical fruits of mango and pineapple. The palate shows much of the same with the same moderate intensity. Despite being a pale ale, a big sharp IPA bitterness occurs at the end. Nothing wrong but nothing special.

Grapefruit and lemon are cut with spicy accents (almost like light rye). Assertive malt presence reminds of honey. Medium body with bittering on sides of mouth.

Goût d’agrumes fruités. Tangerine, orange. Légère et rafraichissante. Amertume fruitée et un peu amère. Bel équilibre.

Really solid beer. Pint pour of mild amber gold with a fairly white head. Nose is grapefruit and crisp notes, some cleaner. Flavor is bright grapefruit and citrus peel notes, some zest but more citrus bitterness. Clean and bright, refreshing with a lighter medium body. Drinkable for sure

On tap at the rail statio, pours a golden/orange with a medium off-white head. Sweet fruity aroma, cotton candy, and citrus. Taste of tangerine and orange citrus, mildly sweet with a light bitterness, caramel malt. Pleasent and drinkable.

Out of bottle. Golden in color. Better than average pale ale. Decent hop flavours, pine and citrus, but also has a decent malt backbone.
