hapjydeuce brought this to the PP bottle shop. I can’t believe I haven’t tried/rated this yet. Thanks Justin! Deep amber color. Lots of carmelization/melanoidins. Sweet. Bitterness is mild. It’s a bit young fresh and needs some aging to take the bite off.

Jul 26, 2008 An aromatic and delicious barleywine. Loads of hops and malt ind the aroma, citrus is dominating. The flavour is rounded by the malt but the hops are still very up front. Ends with a very balanced bitterness, leaving just enough room for the malt. The palate is a bit too thin for a barleywine in my world, but still a great beer!

Jul 22, 2008 SUPER SWEET - great malt but a lot of it - a super lot. Great hop taste but not enough of it, alcohol taste is almost absent which is amazing, well made, but just too much malt sugars remain for me.

Jul 14, 2008 22 oz. bomber, pours a deep red-amber with a massive frothy tan head with good retention and lacing. Aroma is all piney hops on the pour with layers of toasty biscuity malts, caramel, and toffee coming later. Fruity esters are a bit subdued but include prunes and plums and some raisin. Flavor is nicely balanced, but dominated by the toasty malts with piney hops providing balance into a moderately dry finish. The body is medium to medium-full; smooth, with moderate carbonation and a perfect amount of warming. Overall, an excellent barleywine. Extrordinarily drinkable, as it balances a bit to the thin side, though still supportive of a relatively high ABV and full flavors.

Jul 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a small offwhite head. Aroma and flavour are both sweet, althea drops with some hoppyness.
