4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled 2015 vintage. Pours beautiful red, copper, white head. Gorgeous looking beer. Aroma is delicious fig, dark fruit, raisin, cherry, orange, definite citrus notes. Flavor is fig, cherry, dark fruits, raisin, malt, big citrus hops, caramel, maybe a spot of toffee, definite pine and hops that come through, then subside, then come back with a mild lingering bitterness. Like a toned down BigFoot - hopwise. 100% my kind of barleywine. Absolutely phenomenal.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from SB.
Clear amber with a very appealing thick, creamy and bubbly off white head that clings to the glass leaving a spotted lace.
Candi sugar, toffee, pine, lychee and grapefruit aroma. Typical candy like caramel & hop aroma so often found in Lagunitas beers and US barley wines.
Taste is same classic sweet candi caramel and hop juice mix with fudge, grapefruit, lychee and some leather. Big sweetness, big bitterness.
Big body, soft carbonation, soft sticky texture.
Very nice barley wine. Kind of standard, but very good in that sense.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Aroma is caramelly sweet with brown sugar and plums. A sting from lemon zest and sweet orange. Taste is sweet toffee and quite malty but with a honey touch. Overripe apricots and citrus oils with a touch of peach brandy. Great stuff.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
650 ml bottle from Burlington VT.
Appearance: Pours a
cloudy brown redish colour with just over a finger of tan head. Short retention and considerable lacing.
Malted milk, sweet bready malts, cereal, toffee, hazel nuts, some dark fruit like dates and figs, hint of orange marmalade on the finish.
Thicker and smooth but with a bit of a bitter sharp finish.
Overall: The malted milk flavour really comes out strong. Nice secondary flavours of dark fruit and orange marmalade added a nice touch.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep copper to almost light brown with an off white head. Nice tart aroma of fruits and spices. Nice body that drinks very smooth. Taste is semi-sweet, somewhat tart fruit. High alcohol content is masked very well by the fruit flavors. Enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aroma of roast malt and rootbeer, lemon, smells like crushed sasparilla leaves. White head and thick lace curtains, clear copper with plenty of carbonation. Taste is like red roast malt, rootbeer, lemon zest. Palate is nearly perfect, just a bit oily - thick, bubbly. Overall, very very good, no, great barleywine.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
2015 Bottle. Wanted to sit this, but was too anxious to give it a shot. Nice, smooth barleywine heavy on the caramel malt. Toffee is very upfront as well. Good, clean, and smooth if this is what you're wanting.
