Commercial Description:
In The beginning, there were ales. As far as anyone knows, the first beers made were 'top-fermented', which is longhand for 'Ale'. Sometime long before the 1860's, beers became popular that were made in Northern Europe with a bottom fermenting yeast strain that liked the colder temperatures. Because they had to spend weeks aging before they tasted their best, they were known as 'Lager' beer. Lager is the German word for 'storage'. Since they had to sit a while, they took up more time and space and as such were harder and more expensive to make. Where ales are meaty, lagers are sinewy. Where ales are street, lagers are 'haute couture'. Where an ale might hit you over the head and take your wallet, lagers donate to charity and adopt stray cats. While an ale might steal your car or try to date your daughter and keep her out all night for who-knows-what purpose, a well bred lager would offer to clean your house while you're on vacation and leave fresh scones and coffee for you when you return. Now, don't get us wrong, ales can be a lot of fun to hang out with when you're in the right mood, and if you have bail money on you. But what's wrong with livin' uptown from time to time, on a nice street, where the doormen all wear those little uniforms, the air smells of flowers, and lagers rule the Earth. Cheers!

Golden body, small white head, boring aroma. Hops are more bitter than flavorful; some honey from the malts, but no bready goodness. Not a good example of the style.

bottle-slightly off white head, yellow (hint of orange) appearence, smells of grass, freshness, grape, tastes nice, but not best of class...okay brew, but prima is much better

Pours a bit light for the style but with a lasting white head and an effervescent body. The aroma is clean, no diacetyl, grassy, but with no bready malt character that I was expecting. Body is med. light with a burst of CO2. The flavors are a nice mixture of spicy, earthy hops and the bready malts that were missing in the aroma were all there in the flavor. My nose is stuffy soo. Finish is a bit more sweetish and malty than I expected. Not overly so, but the beer could use a touch more bittering. Overall a very nice pils that I could easily drink a number of.

Hazy dark golden body, white head; Malty sweet nose with a little freshness brought in by the hop; The body is a bit flat with a soft texture, to little sparkle and a harsh bitterness; The harsh parts evolves with the finish, soft texture, malty warm, citrus aromas, citric harsh. Good beer, but not my kind of pilsner.

Bottle from Pailhead. Aroma has lots of soft pils malt with some yeast and flower/fruit esters in the background. Flavor much the same with nice bitter kick in the finish to cleanse the palate. Creamy smooth mouthfeel and body. Well done IMO, surprised at the overall.

Bottle: Rich golden/yellow color with a frothy white head and decent lacing. Malty sweet aroma with a hint of hops. Taste is sweet with malt, yet bitter in a light and floral way. Clean, crisp, and better enjoyed in the summer.

Golden pour with only wisps of white webs. Aroma is sweet with some bitter hops. The flavor is a little off, not as clean as I was hoping for. Dissapointing.
