Draft. Hazy dark golden color with a small white head. Typical Lagunitas aroma with some more interesting notes. Big orange/tangerine. Sweet malt base and a killer hop presence of orange, tangerine, and herbal notes. Medium-plus body with nice resins and good carbonation. Big fan of this one.

On tap at Lagunitas during SF Beer Week, what a week! It pours crystal clear copper with thin white head. The aroma offer up thick malt sweetened citrus like tangelo, grapefruit and a bit of mango blending into some spicy hops. Behind those notes are some resiny hops murmuring about. The taste has lots of spicy hops creating some fresh kitty liter box notes. The hops then move up in bitterness and become resiny with bitter pine hop notes to midway and into the finish. Very tasty IIPA that is just too easy going down. Damn good.

Tap at Sacramento Brewers Showcase. Pours hazy dark gold with bubbles. Huge stone fruit and citrus nose. Med + body. Flavor is unexpectedly evergreen hoppy. This is extremely hoppy - tho not harsh. Amazing stuff.

just so hard to rate. really not sure at times what the goal is here but sense the effort. THAT is too complicated right there.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Big grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with caramel. Medium-plus bodied. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with sweet caramel. A bit too much caramel.

I believe this is the right entry for the beer I enjoyed on draft at Capone’s this past weekend. If not, maybe someone out there will correct me. Until then, I guess I’ll enter my rating under this one. Lagunitas never disappoints me. They also make outstanding beers, especially their IPAs, and this offering was no different. This beer had some outstanding malt balance and character to it, to balance all the hop goodness. I also tasted some cereal flavors, along with oat, pine, barley and of course all that hoppiness. Very enjoyable IPA!

On tap at Tap’s... good looking beer with nice white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, juniper and some malts. I enjoyed this IPA b/c it has a relatively strong malt character. Smooth for a DIPA, and not overly bitter and lingering. Very drinkable and an enjoyable IPA for me.

On Tap at Toronado in SFO. Pours orange, slight head, nice hop aroma, hop bitterness, touch of sweetness. Nice beer, not spectacular.
