I believe this is the right entry for the beer I enjoyed on draft at Capone’s this past weekend. If not, maybe someone out there will correct me. Until then, I guess I’ll enter my rating under this one. Lagunitas never disappoints me. They also make outstanding beers, especially their IPAs, and this offering was no different. This beer had some outstanding malt balance and character to it, to balance all the hop goodness. I also tasted some cereal flavors, along with oat, pine, barley and of course all that hoppiness. Very enjoyable IPA!

Grassy, hoppy, malty, sweet, with some citrus and sweet fruits. What a great hoppy brew for SF beer week.

Very herbal flavor. The bitterness is off-center. Not bad, but different. The hops on top are quite tasty. Great taste of hops for (presume) dry hopping. A bit thick but the malt is quite good and has a great presence. The hop onslaught is masked by the amount of malt. Not necessarily a hop bomb or trying to be a bucket of IBUs, but a great DIPA

On Tap at Toronado in SFO. Pours orange, slight head, nice hop aroma, hop bitterness, touch of sweetness. Nice beer, not spectacular.

On tap at 540 Club during SF beerweek. Massive grapefruit explodes out of the glass. Pours a clear copper with white head that leaves quickly but retains a nice white covering. Nice lacing down the glass as well. Bitterness and citrus dominate the palate. Bitterness shines through on the finish, although the malt is strongly in support. Mouth feel is full and chewy, alcohol covers the tongue and provides nice warmth.

On tap at Bobby G’s. Pours a copper with a one finger head that has good retention and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass. Aroma is huge with grapefruit, orange, and pineapple. No trace of malt in the nose. Taste is sweet grapefruit going into some orange peel and light caramel with some pineapple. Light bitterness. No trace of alcohol. Medium body. Light carbonation. Great beer.

Draft at Toad in the Hole. Clear amber with fine but tiny head. A bit of a head cold is dulling my nasal acuity ATM, so the best I can come up with is "vaguely hoppy." Initially almost tart, but it is soon enough realized to be just overwhelming lupulin, both in raw and isomerized species. Full-bodied, snappy, with a nearly peppery aftertaste.

This was an awesome ipa. It almost crackled. Very bubbly and effervescent. On tap at langunitas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Tap’s... good looking beer with nice white head. Aromas of hops, citrus, juniper and some malts. I enjoyed this IPA b/c it has a relatively strong malt character. Smooth for a DIPA, and not overly bitter and lingering. Very drinkable and an enjoyable IPA for me.

just so hard to rate. really not sure at times what the goal is here but sense the effort. THAT is too complicated right there.
