ansermadide (496), Kyle, Texas, USA Sep 6, 2008 Updated: Sep 11, 2008(On tap Draught House on September 6, 2008) Have I had this before? Nope! Turns out that I haven’t. A syrupy-looking amber-orange colored ale with a soapy head. Slow, steady carbonation. Aroma is of a spicy strong ale. Its hoppy flavor more comforting to me, reminding me I’m closer to the American West Coast than the Northeast or European North. Yes, this is a strong ale. Obviously dry-hopped, alot like a tasty hop-variety of barley wine or double/imperial IPA, but with a little more malt. Expected of a California strong ale. Very cool brew! Rballs01 (264), Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA Sep 6, 2008 poured a thin orange/straw color. Taste was rather light. Minimal malt some hops. Possibly a tainted 6 pk. kmeves (1080), Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2008 Pours a light copper color with a medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal, bready and toffee. Flavor is grassy, corn, light alcohol, some citrus and spice. Finishes long and fairly bitter. Medium to full body, sticky texture. peter (385), Dallas, Texas, USA Sep 6, 2008 Gloden clear in the glass. Nose is orange and lactose, we might be in for a sweet one. Flavour agrees, beaugomot and dextrose. The mouth on this one is amazing. Creamy and full with a clean finish with residual fruitiness, exemplar! yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Sep 6, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours clear and golden deep orange with a huge light tan head. Pinewood dry hops aroma with a mild spie accent coming through. Citrusy and pinewood hoppy initial flavour with a mild berry accent following. Mild caramel malty sweetness to. Lingering fruity and light finish with a light uplifting note from the hops. Mild sweet caramel malty into the far finish. joekinty (263), rockledge, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2008 Whoo Hoo brown town slight taste of waterchestnuts and filtered water hints of watermelon juice and rice hulls no just kidding great beer Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Aug 31, 2008 Not a bad beer. Crystal clear golden color, with smallish head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor was sweet and syrupy, with just enough bitterness to keep her honest. Vanilla, caramel and fruity. Much like a beer version of a cream soda. The mouthfeel was carbonated, and not overly smooth. Floback (333), Naples, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a fingernail and a half of off-white head that reduces to a fingernail and holds firm. Loose, clumpy lacing. The aroma reveals subtle notes of oak, caramel, and apple. Same flavors with less pronounced oak, a slight alcoholic bite, and subtle hops, grains, and a bitter finish. Medium/high carbonation and medium body. The scent of this beer is better than the taste. I’m unsure of why they call it a Cream Ale on the bottle. There’d probably be a smoother texture and mouthfeel if it was. Not bad, but not great either.
