Commercial Description:
We brewed this Special High Gravity Cream Ale in serious celebration of the return of the salubrious Spring... With the long dark days of the Season of Damp nearly behind us and the possibilities of a long languid Summer ahead.

12 oz bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark gold with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass a little.

The aroma is sweet bready malts with a little melon, grassy hops and alcohol.

The flavor is sweet creamy malts with some big grassy bitterness and a touch of alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, tastes like a pumped up (hop and alcohol) cream ale. It’s the best cream ale I’ve had and is enjoyable, but not great.

Bottle into Sam Adams Lager glass. Pours a clear orange-gold with a tiny white head that’s gone almost instantly. Aroma is a nice balance of floral hops and biscuity malt, and a mustiness that seems a bit off. Taste follows suit - malt isn’t too sweet, biscuity, with a subtle herbal, floral hoppiness that never shows itself too sharply. Finish is a slightly resiney light hop bitterness and a hint of grain sweetness. Easy drinking for a beer of this gravity for sure, very light body with just the right amount of carbonation.

~Pours a light orange with miniscule head. ~Thick "sweet" malt aroma with caramel, dark fruits and light hops. ~Flavor is noticeably not as sweet as the scent. Has a woodsy hop taste, slightly spicy with some sweetness. ~Medium feel with woodsy finish. ~Not a bad brew. Has a strong flavor to it. Nice job hiding alcohol.

Bottle 12 oz. Pours a very brilliant beautiful orange with a small white head. Nose is caramel, malt and strong hop. Taste is a blend between and generic american strong ale and cream ale. Pleasing. Palate is somewhat subdued. A nice beverage.

Pours a nice amber with a thick white head. Aroma is malt, hops, citrus and caramel. Flavor is caramel, citrus, malt, hops and finishes with a sweet yet bitter ending. Quite enjoyable brew from lagunitas.

Great aroma, first taste is too sweet but it balances quickly. Simple hop flavor plays well with the malt. Malt flavor good and on top, over quite balanced. No major flaws but does not achieve greatness

Bottle poured a nice golden amber. Aroma was a nice hop/malt mix which seemed typical for this style. Flavor though was a bit yeasty or musty for me. I wouldn’t refuse one, but not my favorite in this style.
