doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Jun 7, 2008 On-tap at Churchill’s. Pours vibrant, clearish amber with a thin creamy head, some lace. Smells big and sweet malty with a nice sweet, earthy hop background. Tastes malty, malty, malty. Some hop sweetnessin there as well. Caramelly sweet malts with a an earthy, resiny hop flavor as well. Full body, semi-syrupy, good carbonation. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2008 Quite enjoyable. its smooth and almost silky. IT got the right balance between hops and malts with a mild creamy finish. it works. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 3, 2008 Updated: Aug 1, 2008The aroma is malty with sweet cream and corn. There is also a herbal hops and grass. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is good for the style. Overall its drinkable and enjoyable. twitcher (293), framingham, Massachusetts, USA Jun 3, 2008 "Hi Gravity Cream Ale". Pours like an IPA- clear light amber. Big fluffy head that sticks around like crazy. Nose dominated by sharp citrus hops and a smooth creamy sweetness. Flavor also goes a ways in the IPA direction- aggressive bitterness, floral and citrus hop character. Smooth sweetness to the malt shows off the "cream ale" aspect. Good stuff. Gr0ve (1382), Oslo, Norway Jun 2, 2008 355 ml bottle. Dark amber colour. Intense malt aroma. Bold caramelly aromas. Sharp hoppy flavours. Very interesting complex maltiness. Excellent taste. The malt composition is still unknown to me. Would like to know, please. Sugars and enormous amounts of specialty malts? Distinct hoppy bitterness. Very nice. phishpond417 (1861), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Jun 2, 2008 I was under the impression this was some sort of cream ale with extra hoppiness. It was indeed a nice beer. Pours a semi-clear copper colour with a large off white head. Aroma of sweet hops and citrus. Finishes semi dry with a tight hop bite. Tastey! larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Jun 1, 2008 Medium offwhite head. Chestnut brown body. Firm malty caramelly aroma with fruity notes. Sweet earthy intensely malty taste with fruity hop notes and some toffee. Dry fruity hop aftertaste. Nice. (0.355l bottle from gr0ve.) SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA May 21, 2008 Hazy golden orange in color with a creamy white head. Aromas were of orange rind, crème, caramel, herbs and dark fruit. In the mouth it was medium-bodied and dense showing off the crème and malt from the nose. Plenty of carbonation to keep it fresh and well-balanced.
