AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Nov 28, 2007 Clear amber color with a fizzy off white head. Mild, spicy sweet smell with a whiff of alcohol. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Grainy ,yeasty flavor with lightly sweet malts. Has a nicely bitter hop and alcohol taste to finish .
At 7.6%, this brew is way too easy to drink. A great lawn mower beer. May 2005

Comments: A quite drinkable yet full-bodied and sweet ale with a spicy and citrusy hop profile and a juicy, fruity maltiness. Veiled alcohol. Perhaps amongst my favourites from Lagunitas - I was quite surprised at how fresh it tasted and on how it felt more juicy than syrupy.
bitbucket (2022), Kirkland, Washington, USA Nov 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours lightly hazy bright copper with a thin and fading white head. Aroma is light, with a touch of oranges, caramel and pine. Medium body and carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of caramel and citrus. Semi-dry orange and pine finish. obguthr (978), Poquoson, Virginia, USA Nov 11, 2007 Light caramel and lemon peel aroma with a certain amount of woodiness. Cloudy golden color, thick tan head. Full bodied woody taste of lemon peel and yeast. Subdued caramel and fig finish. Sticky mouthfeel. This is actually a woody ale that I’m not crazy about and I don’t know why. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Nov 8, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was thick, rocky, and off white with great retention and lacing. Aroma was a combination of caramel, sweet cream, and steeping barley. There was also a whiff of light sprucy hops. Delicate sweetness teased my tongue throughout, but was overpowered by moderate hop bitterness of about 6 out of 10 that lingered along with the sugars. The flavor was hop dominated imparting grassy and sprucy notes, but there was also some malty caramel and alcohol. Dedollewaitor (3622), Odense, Denmark Nov 8, 2007 Unclear copper / orange with a fine white head. The aroma is similar to the other lagunitas products - heavy sweet (caramel) & hoppy. Piney, flowery & soapy. Bitter soapy hops. Oily & sticky palate. Lasting end - and his is is less sweet than many of its "brothers". Good! miketd (679), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Oct 30, 2007 Sent byJimbowodd quite a while ago. Pour is a deep golden/ copper. Nice, big white head. Aroma is bananna, citrus and floral. Flavor is softly bitter and moves nicely to the sweet malt in the finish. Good lacing, medium body and nice texture. Wulfstan (509), California, USA Oct 28, 2007 Updated: Feb 14, 2008This is an interesting and admirable beer. Golden, bubbly, and faintly hazy, it has a fairly thick off-white head that lasts a while and leaves some decent lacing. The aroma is almost all hops, but a mix of citrus and pine, & it has faint fruit and biscuit elements as well. The taste is similarly almost all floral, citrusy hops, but not so much that it tastes like grapefruit pulp or the like. It has some bitterness but much less than what I’d expect from a beer whose aroma and taste are this hoppy. There is also definite fruitiness (sweet grapes) and sweetness, especially near the end, and the finish is slightly biscuity before the alcohol astringency comes through unpleasantly. I suspect that the lack of bitterness is it doesn’t take much hop to dominate the rest here. It seems rather like a hoppy strong pale lager or malt liquor, which I guess makes sense. It has a pretty nice, full palate. It’s fairly good and has some very nice and intriguing qualities, but it’s not really what I look for normally.
