topherh (892), Kearney, Missouri, USA Jun 12, 2009 Pours an orangish amber with a lot of hoppy aroma. Flavor is rich malts with plenty of hops to balance it out. Not what I was expecting from a string cream ale, but good. tokyogoat (505), San Diego, California, USA May 7, 2009 Pours a surprising amber/copper color with a good amount of carbonation.
Very bitter with hops, with some syrupy malt. Not that well balanced.
This isnt a bad beer, but it also wasnt what I was planning on drinking.
Kodos (200), USA Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours golden amber with a small head. Sweet caramel and grapefruit on the nose. Slightly sweet with a slight hop bitterness with a hint of berry. Creamy finish with a mild alcohol burn CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Apr 10, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Plenty of hops and malt in good balance. Some minimal poop makes it slightly unpleasant, but overall a decent brew. On par and difficult to differentiate between other Lagunitas strong ales. sjolles85 (77), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 3, 2009 This is a good beer. A little more hoppy then I thought it would be. Its got a nice creamy/smooth feel. Would be a nice beer to watch the game with thejon375 (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Mar 31, 2009 Shared with Steve. They call it a strong ale but it really isnt. More hoppy than a strong ale, more like an APA or IPA. However I did like the creamy texture on the palate. finol (475), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden Mar 29, 2009 Bottle.
Slightly hazy, medium size yellowish head. Citrusy hoppy aroma but it tastes more of german hops.
I would have labled it a APA. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA Mar 18, 2009 Pours clear amber orange color with reddish hues, with a nice white head and decent lacing. Aroma consists of unique hops, orange citrus, also some subtle roasted malts. Flavor follow with a nice bite of hops and carbonation with a less than bitter finish and lingering sweetness. Unique, drinkable and tasty.
