Lightly hopped aroma with some pine cones, floral grasses and light citrus. Pours a peached gold, with rim of pure white. Flavor is mostly of the hops, but nestles in with some candied corn sugars, wheat oil, and banana rum. A bit of fusels. There’s a tang of citrus rind. Pretty mild overall. Alcohol noticeable. I don’t really get the point of this beer. It only has 40 IBUs, no desirable malt character and marked yeast signature. True, the hop flavor does come out cleanly, but it’s fairly singular. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 29, 2007 A very loose head with a deep golden color, pine, brandy, oranges in the nose. The body is mildly hopped with pine and oranges and sweet maltiness (great mt. hood hops character) and then finishing bitter glennmastrange (837), hobe sound, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Bottle. Light straw aroma for the malt, spruce and herbs for the hops and maybe soap for the yeast. I also noted pepper and a indiscernible fruitiness in the background. Head is rocky white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is a slightly hazy amber/orange. Lightly sweet and moderately acidic to start, and lightly acidic and moderately bitter in the finish for the taste. Palate is light to medium, a touch oily with lively carbonation. A tasty beer from a new-to-me brewer. blankboy (3198), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden-orange with a large lasting creamy off-white head. Pleasant aroma of hops, piney & citrusy, along with fruit, honey and sweet malt. Flavour of resiny hops, fruit, sweet malt, pepper, some alcohol and a slightly alcoholic bitter finish. Medium to full bodied, smooth creamy mouthfeel. Quite refreshing, especially considering the abv -- I really enjoyed this (no way it’s a crappy Cream Ale!). Addendum: This sucker drinks easily and quickly, but the alcohol sure makes it’s presence known. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 24, 2007 Fruity west coast hop aroma, with lots of malt. Big slightly off-white head on ordinary looking brew. Squat cali-micro twistoff bottle. Very smooth mouthfeel. Moderately tart, not as hoppy as it smells. Slightly candied and lemony. Finish is citruspeel bitter with vanilla notes. Refreshing. Thanks to PorterPounder for hauling this back from someplace.
