jaymobrown (1344), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 29, 2007 On tap -- Poured a light bubbly golden color. Slightly darkened white head. Light body. Sweet with a lot of hop kick. Creamy texture. Tastes of malt, honey, and oats. dmac (1423), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Jul 29, 2007 12 oz bottle bought at Mohnahans. Poured a deep copper/amber with some red hues and a creamy off white head. Aroma on this is very nice with lots of sweet syrupy mollases dominating. Flavor is sweet but not as sweet as the aroma and kind of lets one down. Very creamy smooth palate on this medium bodied brew. Interesting beer. pineypower (1077), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Jul 28, 2007 Pours out a very light copper with a moderate head. Aroma is sweet with some hop notes lingering in the background. Taste is creamy/malty with some citrus/floral hops. Interesting... thegreenrooster (1811), St.louis, Missouri, USA Jul 27, 2007 Pour is a hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is is very sweet smelling with some hops in there plus a touch of cream. Flavor is peppery and creamy with some dry citrus hops and a touch of alcohol. Not a bad little beer. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2007 Updated: Aug 10, 2007Bottle. Pours thin and umimpressive cheddar yellow with a decent head. Aroma is a mixture of apricot, grapefruit, and pine-- all blended into a sugar-scented candle. Woah, just got a whiff of sweet and sour pork in the nose. Floral sweet flavors that rise sour and fall sweet on the tongue. Sweet and sour sauce is in there as well. Decent mouthfeel. Overall, I am enjoying this beer; price for a sixer was a little steep, but I’m not sorry I bought one. I’ll enjoy more of these.
Tap at Flying Saucer, Houston
Creamy effect is amplified; nice hoppy presence in the finish. Sweetness is more pronounced. GREAT in the bottle, AWESOME on tap. RollinHard (750), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 25, 2007 Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color with a medium sized white head that looks soapy in parts, creamy in others. Light aroma, but there’s some honey, bread, and a hint of planty grassy hops. Light vanilla and the vaguest spice hint. Flavor follows aroma pretty well with a moderately sweet flavor of bread, honey and a pinch of vanilla, but then the hop flavor factors in and adds a light wood, slightly charred bitter flavor. Finishes with a bit more of that charred bitterness and an odd taste. I don’t really know how to place the finish and aftertaste flavors, but imagine a bitter version of the malt flavors, and that sums it up. Texture feels kinda slick at first, but it is sufficiently creamy feeling a few seconds after sipping. Decent beer overall, but nothing remarkable about it. I don’t think I really enjoy the way Lagunitas hops their beers either, it always ends up tasting strange to me. fly (1331), austin, Tejas, USA Jul 25, 2007 LUMPY LUMPY LUMPY LUMPY LUMPY

He MADE me drink this. Did I want to? Are you kindding?!? I go to the Draught House. Do they not have more than one beer? Is there nothing else to have? Am I a rating whore? Must I now enjoy this based on the opinion of one from the norterly land which is referred to in hushed tones as "the metroplex"?
Okay, it’s better than okay. So cream ale conjures image of Little Kings, which was to me one of those not great, not bad, easy to drink fellers. This is it’s cool cousin. The one with the better car, better gf, better LIFE. It’s not an extremely creamy texture to me, but nice and the addition of a good amount of hops helps the cause. Not mind blowing, but all too easily drinkable as I found after consuming most of 6pk in one sitting. RiverHorse (454), New Jersey, USA Jul 22, 2007 Poured into a tulip and saw a very nice dark orange color with a very thick, off-white head. The lacing was very nice and held during the tasting. The scent was of vanilla, citrusy hops, and spice. The taste is of the hops up front with a very creamy, thick finish that goes down smooth. A different kind of beer, interesting, but not one I would seek out.
