The lacing was very nice and held during the tasting. The scent was of vanilla, citrusy hops, and spice. The taste is of the hops up front with a very creamy, thick finish that goes down smooth. A different kind of beer, interesting, but not one I would seek out. npdempse (931), St. Petersburg, Florida, USA

Rather bitter, with a lot of pine and grapefruit. Nice sweetness, a bit like shortbread. Good, creamy mouthfeel. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 21, 2007 Has a very nice head on the pour with lacing that sticks around....Colour is of new copper....aroma is of summer sunshine with a whiff of pine needles....Lots of IPA like qualities in the taste but smoother on the bitterness and maybe more emphasis on malt/spice....Is a very tasty and drinkable brew that i would most positively recommend!! --Music: Odeed ’live’ on Richmond Radio--

Small head, but nice small bubbles. Typical mild IPA. Kind of average score for IPAs I’ve tried lately. Very drinkable, would buy again if there isn’t something new to try (There’s always something new) doubelknv3 (566), Illinois, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jul 20, 2007 A hiigh-gravity cream ale, huh? Color me intrigued. Pours a soft sunrise orange with a creamy off-white head. Pretty steady carbonation. Laces randomly, and with no real beauty. Sweet, as expected, aromas with mango and rainbowed gumball character. Fllavors pack a wallop of pine resins and mango, along with an alcohol heat. After the swallow the heat intensifies. Creamy mouthfeel, rather sticky on the lips. The throat cries for quarter from the alcoholic heat. vyvvy (2034), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Well, this is the most disappointing Lagunitas I’ve ever had. Pour clear copper with a thick soapy beige head. The aroma is creamy and murky breadiness along with being very sweet and cloying. Medium / full body with quite a bit of carbonation. The flavor starts incredibly sweet and cloying with warming alcohol. The finish has more heat than one would expect for 7.6% - actually I’ve had close to 10% beers from the same brewery that were far more drinkable and less alcoholic tasting. Unfortunately I have now had a bad Lagunitas experience - I hope the next is back up to their usual good quality. golubj (1286), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 19, 2007 Bottle. Aroma of sweet malt and citrus. Kind of high carbonation. The hop bitterness in this beer and the sweet malt flavors don’t go well together.
