theshocker (329), Marietta, Georgia, USA Jun 20, 2007 I think they have a name for high gravity cream ales: Malt liquor. Its ok though. Lightly malty, apple aroma. Thin body, at least for such a thin beer. A slightly corny aftertaste. Overall its pretty smooth, I just don’t think this style lends itself well to an imperial version. Wouldn’t buy it again. SSSteve (2049), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jun 20, 2007 light orange with a small creamy off-white head. aroma is dominated by hops but has notes of bready malt. flavor is very hoppy with notes of caramel and bready malt. pretty typical lagunitas but with more malts than usual instead of being an extremely harsh hop explosion. Norton (294), The Fan, Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 18, 2007 Bottle. Why do I keep getting conned into trying these indistinguishable ales? Almost silky mouthfeel. A mild orangish sweetness. Spice stays on back of tongue. Boring. Just take any generic micromacro and increase the alcohol content = this beer. TheShat (131), Lakewood, Ohio, USA Jun 17, 2007 Bottle pours a golden color. The aroma is is of pine hops or spice with a hint of sweetness. The flavor is balanced with some nice spice flavor! There is medium carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. There is a medium to long finish of spiciness that has some good bitterness to it. It is also dry. Excellent! PorterPounder (3133), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 17, 2007 Marietta, Ga. - Bullocks Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Medim orange pour with thick stiicky white head that leaves good lacing. Sweet gumball-like aroma - hint of pine. Flavor is sweet and strong. Pick up some of the usual grapefruit of course - but there is some apricot, maple syrup, even chocolate. Very thick, creamy mouthfeel. Very solid - come to expect this form Lagunitas. Metalhead (570), Lake Zurich, Illinois, USA Jun 15, 2007 Light copper pour with a 1 finger short lasting head. Interesting beer. Like a cross between a IIPA and a cream ale. Mid level hops with some pine but semi sweet and slightly oily mouthfeel. Very smooth and ABV not noticable. Nice. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Jun 14, 2007 I dont get the name, for the radio or something? Maple color with a small head, some lacing. A sweet malt aroma some hop bitterness. Taste is sweet, much like most of these high ABV American ales. Some hop bitterness ot offset but not enough. Middle of the road. marcus (1826), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 13, 2007 On tap at Toronado. This copper ale poured with a decent off-white head, that quickly dissipated. The creamy hop flavor is a bit thin at first, but develops into a subtle bitterness after a few sips.
