Commercial Description:
We brewed this Special High Gravity Cream Ale in serious celebration of the return of the salubrious Spring... With the long dark days of the Season of Damp nearly behind us and the possibilities of a long languid Summer ahead.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a moderate amount of dense white head. Aroma is pale malts, grass, apple. Flavor is pale malts, citrus, apple, caramel, slight alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, highly carbonate, creamy, velvety finish. Very good stuff!

Slightly hazed orange body. Fizzy off-white head. Aged malt aroma. Faded hops. Flavor is much of the same. Caramel, sweet fruit. Nothing outstanding but okay.

Interesting concept. Clear amber pour with a well retained off white head. Light fruity nose reminiscent of cherry, apple, berries and dried apricots. Also noted are mellow grassy hops and doughy vanilla. Flavor is almost as original and savory. Hints of fruit are quickly overtaken by a pleasant malt profile that denotes toasted grains, white pepper and toffee. A really tasty brew, finishing with a creamy and somewhat balanced finish. Palate is medium to full. I wish this weren’t so high in alcohol, I could drink it all day. One of my favorites from a brewer that consistently dissapoints. This one was truly a surprise and were it not for the high gravity I’d session with it regularly.

Orange-golden; very slight haze; frothy, creamy, off-white head. Floral hop aroma; citrus, caramel, brown sugar (!?), spices, and dark fruit. Flavor is nice; good hop bite; bready; citrus; light alcohol twinge. Mouthfeel is spectacular for the style; full and frothy and not stick; perfect. This is really, really good.

Clear medium orange color & very bubbly - lively head. Aroma is sweet with notes of alcohol, grapefruit and a little yeast. Flavor is a little hard to describe - a little alcoholic, notes of spices, orange, grapefruit. Has a little of a warming quality but is also a little harsh and doesn’t seem balanced quite right. It all adds up to a decent beer that doesn’t quite fit into a neat and tidy category.

Poured from bottle. Nice golden orange color and for me it had a large white head that stayed for quite some time. Great smell! Sweet. Definitely taste some orange, caramel, and even tasted some nuttieness! I dont normally like hoppy beers, but this one is blended quite nice and I enjoyed it much!

Great beer! Kind of a creamy IPA. It has a hoppy aroma and I will take that anyday!

Thanks to drewbeerme for this sample. 12 oz bottle pours a hazy orange with a fading head of tiny bubbles. Orange tangerine aroma very ipa like with an overemphasis on those orange citrus hops. Orange tangerine flavors with a sweet creaminess underneath that fades to a bitter orange finish. A very strange combination of flavors, palatable but strange. I’m kind of confused by what Lagunitas is doing.
