| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 2, 2006 Mild fruity esters. Good floral hop bouquet, fresh. Mild sweetness of biscuit or some toffee. Neutral fruits. Orange or citrus oils with a bit of resin. Orangish-amber body, slightly hazy, with very thinnest of wispy off-white heads. Not any lacing present. Medium to heavy watery body, not quite oily, but definitely more substance to it than a fortified lager, for example. Mild to medium carbonation. Starts with a nice presence of fresh hops flavor and some biscuity sweetness. A mild carbonic tanginess persists, but it taken over by a nice orangy-fruity character with some resinous hop oils to bitter. Bitterness strengthens as the mild sweetness dissipates, leaving a final after that’s dry but not overly chalky or astringent. This is a pretty good strong ale. jrob21 (1265), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2006 Clear copper color with lots o’ bubbles. Big white head ads to the creamy texture. Smells of fruit and a little pine. Someone said apricot and peach fruits and i’ll give it that. Taste is of caramel sweetness from the malt and the hops come through at the end for a nice little bite at the finish. Tasty brew perfect for spring but a little boring and young. Very slight head. Taste is citrus hop, with some fruitness (apricot, peach.?) and caramel malt. I was thinking this wasn’t really a cream ale once I tasted it. oldno7 (137), Spokane, Washington, USA
