mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Oct 26, 2008 [1709-20080914] 12floz bottle. Orange hops and yeast aroma. Hazy, medium orange brown body with a long-lasting foamy off-white head. Bitter orange toast flavour is much like a breakfast marmalade on toast. Bitter medium body. Nice bitter.
(w/ jerc) Vas19 (293), Maryland, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pours amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma is honey, hops, woody malt, and a hint of flowers. A lot of honey and malt on the initial taste but finish like a nice cream soda. Some hop flavor in there as well. A little off balance, but Im still enjoying this. DocHop (278), Baltimore, Maryland, USA Oct 23, 2008 Pours a clear, amber gold with a small off white head. Very sweet malty, honey aroma. The taste is also very sweet honey at first with a nice herbal hop flavor that rides throughout. Very nice full body and smooth transitional flavors. Kind of spicey and a very unique flavor. joshwilfong (769), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Oct 23, 2008 golden and pale with very little head, not the most attractive appearing brew. the moutfeel however is superb and thick. the flavor has a little sweetness, but likely is from the cream more than the malt, there may be some light crystal malt. the hop flavor is also superb with a very fresh taste. some hop bitterness and nose too. a very unique and very well done brew, one of the better lagunitas msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA Oct 11, 2008 Bottle from Lunar brewing. Pours golden amber with white head. Aroma was sweet malt, honey, spices and hops. Flavor was sweet malts, honey, light citrus, and hops. Was a little to sweet and sticky for me. Not the type of brew I thing of when it come sot spring. JasonG (700), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Oct 10, 2008 12 oz bottle - pours a every so slightly hazy straw yellow color w/ medium sized fluffy pure white head. Aroma has notes of herbal, nobel hops, corn, lightly toasted grain, touch of honey. Flavor has notes of lightly toasted continental malts, honey, ever-so-faint citrusy hops, with a well balanced finish and a silky mouthfeel. A very nice summer brew overall. Very easy drinking considering the ABV. I would call this a nice summer session brew / lawn-mower ale if not for the relatively high abv. I guess it could still be a lawn-mower ale if you don’t mind if your lines are a little crooked! jbuzz (658), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Oct 10, 2008 Not so impressed with this one. caramel malt and slight hops. I found the feel on the watery side. durhambeer (1186), Durham, USA Oct 7, 2008 Bottle from Sam’s. Odd one. Clear golden orange with nice fluffy off-white head. Surprisingly hoppy, grassy, sweet nose. Sour grain, grass, caramel malt, and crisp bitter finish. Much better than it sounds, though certainly not amazing.
