We brewed this Special High Gravity Cream Ale in serious celebration of the return of the salubrious Spring... With the long dark days of the Season of Damp nearly behind us and the possibilities of a long languid Summer ahead.

Rich amber color with some white head. Smell is big piney hops at first, which mellow out a big, and give way to a bit of sweetness and light alcohol in the aroma. Taste is a nice hop flavor, fruity sweetness, and some noticeable alcohol, but not overwhelmingly so. Good flavor, and a nice beer, but I’m not a big fan of tasting the alcohol. But for the style, this is defintely pretty good, for me, and I imagine much better for others who really like the style.

Clear amber color with a fizzy off white head. Mild, spicy sweet smell with a whiff of alcohol. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Grainy ,yeasty flavor with lightly sweet malts. Has a nicely bitter hop and alcohol taste to finish . At 7.6%, this brew is way too easy to drink. A great lawn mower beer. May 2005

Bottle. Pours an golden/orange color. Aroma is malty and a litle bit fruity. Nice, slightly sweet malty flavor. A biting spicy bitter kick in the finish. Reminds me more of a good ESB than an APA. I can detect a slight alcohol twang as well.

when i first smelled the beer i thought it smelled like spinach. being the person that i am spinach didn’t sound too appealing at the moment. it actually turned out to be a pretty decent beer. it’s not the best but it is highly drinkable in my book.

Light amber in color with a decent head. Hoppy with some citrus in the aromas. Crisp with some slight caramel in the taste.

an off very light orangish copper color w/ a tall fluffy white head w/ some good lacing. light aroma some sweet carmels whip creme, and a nice citrus hop. Palate is full well carbonated and lightly creamy. Flavor is very odd.. a light lactic taste some light carmels some heavy whipping creme, some citrus touches of bread and a nice dry sweet finish. Alcohol is unnoticed. This stuff is odd but really quite good. I’ll buy and drink again.

brewtopia 10/21/06, Aroma was very hoppy for a cream ale, so was the taste. Some malt and bread in the flavor...lightly bitter hop finish.

My first Bomber from my trade with Flipbrewer.Nice dark golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving maybe just a hint of lace behind.Light malt aroma with a slight fruit presence.Nice mildly fruity flavor with a nice malt side, and the alcohol coming on upfront with just a light showing and a gentle burn in the end.Over all a very nice brew that is much easier to drink then the ABV. might let on.Thanks go to Flipbrewer for sending this fine bomber my way.
