From the minute I opened the botel, I could detect the hoppy citrus fruit (grapefruit and oranges) aroma, and the mouthfeel was slightly spicy and tingly. Flavor did not disappoint, as it was a nice continuation of the citrus hops, but there was also a touch of malty sweet caramel.
This all led to a very well rounded finish, as the dry, hoppy bitterness clashed with the malty sweetness, as well aas the 7.6% alcohol creeping in, which actually became warming.
Lagunitaqs left no stone unturned with this one...another hit!v hopson (596), Williamsville, New York, USA

I don’t know if this has anything to do with a cream ale, but it’s good. rmussman (906), California, USA

This one clearly states that it is a " HI-Gravity Cream Ale". 12oz bottle. Deliciously appealing doughy cream aroma. Filtered copper color. Deliciously creamy and smooth, with a piny hop presence. The filtering really does this ale right, making the hoppy tastes come through quite enjoyably. Excellent Cream Ale, perhaps the best I’ve had. jeremyd365 (109), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

It was low to mediumly carbonated and smelled very citrusy and slightly hoppy. The taste was as good as the smell and reminded me of a delightful pale wheat. There was no bite from the hops and had an extremely smooth finish. I would definitely recommend this and would also have it again. hophessel (6), Reno, Nevada, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2008 Golden amber color. Creamy white head.
Citrus nose leads off. Creamy caramel malt flavor at first with a long hoppy finish. Intresting beer as always from Lagunitas. At 40 IBU’s it seems more like an IPA. kriggins (6), , Florida, USA does not count | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 2, 2008 Half inch cream-colored head. Spicy floral and malt aroma. Color is a unique copper-orange hue and fairly clear. Very appealing appearance. Taste is balanced malt, with slight lemony zest, and bit of hop spice. Nice lingering finish. BigBastard (668), L.A., California, USA
