blkitson (125), Westerville, Ohio, USA Jul 13, 2006 The first whiff of this ale after pouring into my pilsner, quickly reminded me of a Blue Moon. But after the first taste, it was far from that. It is quire bitter and rater heavy. Not a beer that you would want to sit around all night and slam back
joekinty (194), rockledge, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2008 Whoo Hoo brown town slight taste of waterchestnuts and filtered water hints of watermelon juice and rice hulls no just kidding great beer Goodgrief (1020), Middletown, Delaware, USA Aug 31, 2008 Not a bad beer. Crystal clear golden color, with smallish head. Sweet malty aroma. The flavor was sweet and syrupy, with just enough bitterness to keep her honest. Vanilla, caramel and fruity. Much like a beer version of a cream soda. The mouthfeel was carbonated, and not overly smooth. Floback (249), N-town, Florida, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. Pours a fingernail and a half of off-white head that reduces to a fingernail and holds firm. Loose, clumpy lacing. The aroma reveals subtle notes of oak, caramel, and apple. Same flavors with less pronounced oak, a slight alcoholic bite, and subtle hops, grains, and a bitter finish. Medium/high carbonation and medium body. The scent of this beer is better than the taste. I’m unsure of why they call it a Cream Ale on the bottle. There’d probably be a smoother texture and mouthfeel if it was. Not bad, but not great either. SuperDave70 (765), Arizona, USA Aug 30, 2008 On tap at Papago. Bright copper pour with a foamy head that slowly fades. Sweet malty aroma, along with light fruit and citrus hops. Flavor is similar, big on sweetness and fruit, but the hops tend to come through more than they did in the nose. Medium, lightly creamy body. The sweetness is balanced out on the hoppy finish. A good brew. bconley (14), Orlando, Florida, USA Aug 30, 2008 a lingering carmel malt flavor. Tough to sample this with other stuff, as it’s flavor is kind of overpowering. Nice and light. again...dchmela is the MAN!
