Defreni (434), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 13, 2008 Flaske. Rødlig gul øl, med et lille skum. Udmærket duft af humle, og en god smag af det. Ikke så meget bitterhed men kunne evt. være fordi den ikke var helt frisk. Det eneste problem med denne øl er at mundfylden er en kende tynd.
timfoolery (279), Alabama, USA Jul 8, 2008 Love Lagunitas, but this one wasn’t my cup of beer. It tasted like a fully confused lager. There was some creaminess there, but the palate just wasn’t right. fatti_bobatti (214), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 7, 2008 bottle from market square liquor tallahassee. light copper pour, thick white head. powerful orange, citrus and floral hops. taste is orange bitter hops with a sweet caramel like malt background. alcohol warmth in the finish. ucusty (760), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 6, 2008 6pack from Case and Keg in Boca. Slightly hazy pour with a fluffy headand moderate lace. Sweet up front with bitter finish. Subtle hints of hops and lemongrass Heathen (451), Riverside, New Jersey, USA Jul 6, 2008 THOUGHTS: Wow! Another American Strong Ale from Lagunitas. One day maybe they will try something different. This made me realize I should only be drinking wheat beers for the rest of the summer. This one got me sweating. Nothing special, but still a nice beer.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, medium amber with a small, fizzy, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma was extremely sweet. There was caramel malt, light hops and a little brown sugar. The initial flavor was moderately sweet, and lightly acidic and bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and bitter, and lightly acidic with and average to long duration. There was caramel malt and then some hops with a hint of citrus. The medium body was sort syrupy, but then dry with soft carbonation and a sort of metallic finish. kriggins (3), , Florida, USA does not count Jul 2, 2008 Half inch cream-colored head. Spicy floral and malt aroma. Color is a unique copper-orange hue and fairly clear. Very appealing appearance. Taste is balanced malt, with slight lemony zest, and bit of hop spice. Nice lingering finish.
