Draft at brewery in Petaluma. A tart lemon and strong citrus grapefruit skin. Lots of orange and the like. Taste is very tart with a citrus rind and skin complement. Very nice.

Tap. Pours cloudy amber with a medium beige head and great lacing. Aroma is lemon, Brett, funk, vinaceous, wood. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, light astringence. Drying out and a bit woody on the finish. High carbonation level in the mouth.

On tap at Ratebeer Gallery event. Pours reddish brown with a huge beige head and a barnyard fruit aroma. There is a robust caramel malt flavor with a subtly sour and funky flavor.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy brownish-orange color with a medium foamy beige head that recedes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky Brett, malt and spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of oaky Brett, pineapple and herbal yeast. The finish is tart with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at the brewery in Petaluma in early November. Pours a hazy amber with a moderately large white head. Aroma is lemon zest, barnyard, slight sour notes but more champagne like. Taste is well balanced with more lemon, pear, green apple peal, hay. The sourness is fairly mild but blended into the beer rather well but I wouldn’t really think of this as a true gueuze.

Caramel orange in color.... Funky sour aroma... Flavor is sour tartness with perfect balance of sweet on the palate.... Not overly intense, pretty well done.

Tap: orange pour with thin off-white head. Funky foot and barnyard with a little sweet caramel and a touch of vinegar. Flavor is sweet-tart with some caramel and brown sugar mixing into vinegar and lemon. Barnyard funk carries through the entire tasting with a acid tang at the end. I’ll be ordering another, good stuff.

On tap at BCTC. Burnt orange appearance. Smells is rough. up front a lot of oak and bunrt caramel. taste is honey and floral notes but not very tasty. Lots of rubber, no tart, hints of vinegar or apple cider vinegar. Orange Peels

Deep amber color. Head faded pretty quick. Nice lacing. Slight sour aroma. Medium bodied. Taste has a slight sourness. Really well balanced though. The huge malts add the much needed sweetness to keep this from being too sour.

Draft at Taps. Consumed while waiting for a Taxi. Bloody hell are Taxis expensive in Petaluma.! Pours clear to hazy gold, thin white head, ropey lacing. Nose is cider apples, funk, cheese, earth. Really, considering this is supposed to be "gueuze" I was hoping for quite a bit more... Flavours or tart pear, cider, funk, earth. Just really misses the point. Disappointing.
