Lagunitas Sonoma Farmhouse Hop Stoopid

Pours a golden orange with an off white head that’s big and creamy, good lacing. The aroma is Hops, citrus, pine and a little lemon lime. The initial flavor is bitter, hoppy. The mouthfeel is creamy.

22 oz bottle. Liked the name, liked the IBU’s, Lag’s are decent enough. Pous a beautiful bronze with a small white head that dies slowly. Actually quite gorgeous the way the light catches it. The aroma isn’t terribly complex, but has an excellent nose-feel of fresh hops, pine, and citrus. I am a little skeptical, thinking maybe it won’t be full-bodied for me. It turns out to be only medium bodied, which is a light flaw, but it covers it up with such a bitter hop presence. It really is not for the faint of heart, with all 100+ IBU’s showing. Not bad at all for the 5 or 6 bucks I spent on this bomber.

Smells sweet but in a good way, and of hops (no surprise). Pours a golden yellow with white head and tastes of malt, hops, horse blanket. Very good, a decent everyday drinker.

awesome brew, super cheap, super available, super dank. nuff said. a light golden pour with a nice head and lacing. hops, hops, more hops. sweet, bitter, oily, tart, all of the hops. it’s def stoopid how good this shit is.

Light amber color. Medium body. Aroma is all hops, as is flavor! Bitter hop taste lingers.

This was on tap at the Falling Rock for GABF week and I had been wanting to try this beer for awhile. It was a nice golden color with an excellent aroma of peaches, hops, citrus, really good smells. The taste was thick, hoppy and more citrus. It’s too bad they don’t send bottles of this out to Colorado as this is easily the best Lagunitas IPA I have ever tasted. -update bottle 02/10/09 really superb IPA, so hoppy and I wish I had bought more! Bottle (bomber). Pours a hazy light amber colour (reddish) with a thin white (but long lasting) head. Aroma of citrus and hops. Tastes hoppy, with some malt and citrus tones. Extremely smooth, no harshness at all. Very well balanced. You would never know that there are 100+ IBUs of hops! Very good. Will probably do this one again... and again... and again...

A golden amber ale with a thin frothy white head. Another very bready malt aroma, with floral hops, mentol. In mouth, a hop bomb with warming alcohol, nice biscuitty malt, grapefruits, sustained bitterness. Rich and smooth. On tap at brewery, August 16 2009.
