crashcarr (5), Georgia, USA does not count Aug 24, 2009 White thick head that gives complement to the nice hoppy aroma and slightly bitter dry hop taste. HomeBrewHawk (266), De Soto, Kansas, USA Aug 23, 2009 22oz bomber served in a shaker pint glass. Pours a clear gold with about a finger of tight bubbled white head. Big hop aroma, pine, citrus. Also some sweet malt. Taste is what you would expect from a beer that touts its 102 IBUs! Had a bit of a green, vegetal flavor from the hops that lowered my score a bit. Good malt base for all the hops. Drying mouth pucker from the hops. Medium bodied. Solid DIPA, but when you consider the price ($4 for a bomber) it’s a winner. cstuartj (305), Washington, USA Aug 23, 2009 Bomber. Great pour, lovely snow white pillowly head. Nose of bitter flowers, pine and citrus. Very clean bitter hop taste. Good finish. randolphjj (90), Raymore, Missouri, USA Aug 21, 2009 What a hoppy nose! Sweet hop aroma with a little grapefruit on a deep inhale. Super hop aroma doesn’t lie -- big hops on the tongue, but a nice, clean finish. Well put together. HughConway (364), Alabama, USA Aug 21, 2009 750mL bottle. Pours amber with nice thick off white head. Strong substantial sweet hop aroma. Nice hop body and taste. Very strong contender. TheJester (694), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2009 650 ml bottle. Olrange-gold with a ring of head. Huge grapefruit and some pine in the aroma - not much else. Big grapefruit in the flavour - as much hop flavour as any beer I’ve tried. Hops are balanced by some rather simple malt sweetness. It’s all about the hops. Bitterness is there in the end, but is not overwhelming. Very full body. Great beer for the hop-lover. TheSponge (272), Lynnwood, Washington, USA Aug 21, 2009 22 oz. bottle purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek, WA. Pours a BEAUTIFUL amber color with a foamy white head. Flavor: Bold hops, with a sweet finish. dalekliz (546), San Diego, California, USA Aug 20, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a big foamy off-white head that lingers a while. Sweet and crisp hops aroma, with a lot of juicy citrus, and a bit of grass, herbs, and malt. Taste starts juicy, with citrus, sugar, and malt and then picks up more bitter pine hops and grass. Lingering bitterness. Very nice.
