pumpmaster (473), Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA Aug 20, 2009 22 ounce bottle purchased at Total Wine Pembroke Pines, FL for $4.49 Excellent! adavis234 (133), Columbia, South Carolina, USA Aug 19, 2009 22 oz bottle. I am always excited to see a hoppy brew like this on the shelf and it was a no brainer purchase. Pours a beautiful orange-brown color. Very sweet citrus hop aroma. Flavor is also quite sweet, much more so than I was expecting. While this is a bit of a disappointment, there is still a lot to like here, notes of orange, blueberry, pine and maybe honey. Extremely flavorful beer, although a little overly sweet in my opinion. Gmoney (250), ManchVegas, New Hampshire, USA Aug 19, 2009 22 oz bottle..hazy copper pour, medium off white head ,good lacing. the aroma is a nice blend of citrus and pine.citrus hop flavor balanced by sweet caramel malt.lighter bodied than expected but highly drinkable ,excellent long bitter finish.enjoyable. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Aug 18, 2009 Pours a clear orange-tinted copper with a thin, fizzy off-white head. The nose is an explosion of grapefruit, lemon rind, orange zest and booze, along with some caramel. The flavor is full of vinous malts, orange, diacetyl (but in good proportion), a sweet carmel backbone and mango/tropical fruits. The palate is visous and slick, with gentle yet sharp carbonation and a warming alcoholic, drying finish. Palate duration is long, leaving piney and citrus rind hops on the back and sides of the tongue. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 18, 2009 [2356-20090731] Bottle. Mild apple aroma is mostly hops. Hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Nice hoppy flavour has lots of citrus rind and grass notes. Medium body is quite bitter. Lovely hoppy brew.
(w/ others @ BCTC; Cooperstown, NY) jkwalking05 (1483), Arlington, Texas, USA Aug 18, 2009 Copper in color with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of grapefruit, pine and grass. Taste is citrus and grass. Pawola22 (676), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Aug 16, 2009 22oz bottle. Pours a clear orange-bronze body with a thick, two-finger width, creamy and foamy, white head that never completely dissipates and leaves a few sticky streaks on the glass. Aroma jumps out of the bottle. Lots of grassy and piney hops. Tropical fruits with plenty of resiny deep citruses and mangos with more and more biscuity toffees as this warms. A light dusty wood and honey sweetness in there too. Flavor is not as complex as the aroma, but along the same lines. Lots of hops up front with a resiny feel and more of that biscuity maltiness providing a nice balance. Some honey soaked toast comes in there too and more of the tropical fruits. Finishes very piney and more mango-tangerine like than the initial fruit flavors. Lingers with a resiny, heavy and sweet bitterness with a medium sweet, biscuity toasted malt. Dry and clean after a medium, smooth, chewy body. Medium lasting aftertaste. Overall, a tasty DIPA. A hop bomb that maintains a real nice balance and body with lots of fresh flavors. This is solid. BiddleBrau (303), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA Aug 13, 2009 poured golden/orange with thinner white head. nose is pine and citrus hops, seems to be alot of them. with all the hops, I taste a malt sweetness. Orange is the citrus flavor that comes through. this is also a dry beer. Overall well balanced with hops playing biggest role but not beating the hell out of my tongue.
