For those mornings when you have to cut right to the chase, this is the one. Sure to blast through just about anything still lingering from the night before, this mouthful of Hops and huge rich Malt has a gaurantee built right into the name!

A golden ale with a full, rocky foam that could balance a nickel. Grass, citrus, and slight waterproofing spray. Bready malts and bitter astringentcy. This is simply a big beer full of hops, alcohol and bread. No depth, no nuance and no love but damn, itís tastey.

Bottle from La Bodega...Pours Golden with a white head...Aroma is citrus and floral hops with some caramel.. Caramel and honey sweetness up front with a long lasting citrus bitterness.. This thing really is stoopid hoppy.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2009 "Farmhouse" makes me think of something more rustic than this, but itís delicious never the less. :Pours a very light orange color, fairly clear with a medium head and some lace. The aroma is packed with fresh hops some citrus and ginger, I love it when they touch each other. Grapefruit is the dominant aroma though. Flavor is wonderfully hoppy with enough balance to make it particularly drinkable grapefrut; some melon, and some citrus rind play fairly serious lead roles in this flavor symphony; not to mention the bit of fruity malt that lends itís hand in making this beer delicious and well balanced. I opened this bottle with high expectations that were easily met.

Pours a clear honey color. Aroma of Citrus, Pine with a slight floral nose. Powerful bite on the back of the tongue. Very hoppy, but more floral and citrus.Quite good.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark golden amber with a bubbly foamy off-white head that stays forever and leaves thick creamy lace. Powerful resinous and citrus aroma, along with honeycomb toffee malts and a funny dried bamboo note. Chewy, full-bodied palate with a perfect balance of sweet malty goodness and intense hoppy fruit and conifer bitterness. The ABV is totally under the radar. A delicious and dangerously drinkable IIPA. More please!

Pours a golden honey color with a thin but dense white head that lasts. There is also some very attractive lacing left behind. Aromas of caramel malts and pine are most noticeable. There is also a definite citrus fruit aroma as well. Smells of mighty hops prevail in the nose with this big beer. Iím really hoping that this beer delivers what the nose is promising. The flavor is definitely very big with somewhat sweet caramel malts in the beginning giving way to the expected earthy pine aspect. There is another characteristic which is unique for a beer like this; honey. The honey is faint up front and is somewhat lost in the bitter hoppy finish. Once the beer has been completely swallowed, the honey note rears its head again and is the last flavor that your mouth enjoys. This is a very nice beer.

Bottle from the Fort Worth Gingerman. My notes to myself pretty much sum this up. It confused me and pleased at the same time. "Clean this yes up, going to jail. Subtle but intense smell, great taste, aftertaste is smooth and only line." I was also a little drunk.

Bomber from Lukas KC. Pours a clear, coppery gold with a big off-white head that lasts and lasts, clinging to the glass for dear life on the way down. Pine needles bathed in grapefruit juice in the nose and on the tongue. High in acid and sticky from resin, this is a California IPA on steroids. A touch high on the carbonation and acid overpowers the alcohol, but otherwise fantastic. Best $4 bomber youíll ever have!

22 oz bottle. Pours a orange gold color with a 1/2" off white head. Aroma is citrus hop, grass, with a touch of candy. Solid bodied palate with moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor is grapefruit, oranges, apricots with just the right amount of caramel malt. Very nice Imperial IPA.

To the tune of Particle Man by They Might Be Giants: IBU Man, IBU Man, hopping the beers for West Coast fans; Whatís it like? Itís not important. IBU Man. Is it a Stone or is it a Rogue? Is Lagunitas now in vogue? Or, are they the same in different cans? Nobody knows, IBU Man.
