650 ml bottle. Olrange-gold with a ring of head. Huge grapefruit and some pine in the aroma - not much else. Big grapefruit in the flavour - as much hop flavour as any beer Iíve tried. Hops are balanced by some rather simple malt sweetness. Itís all about the hops. Bitterness is there in the end, but is not overwhelming. Very full body. Great beer for the hop-lover.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with a big foamy off-white head that lingers a while. Sweet and crisp hops aroma, with a lot of juicy citrus, and a bit of grass, herbs, and malt. Taste starts juicy, with citrus, sugar, and malt and then picks up more bitter pine hops and grass. Lingering bitterness. Very nice.

UPDATED: AUG 22, 2009 Beautifully well done IIPA here. Wow. Citrus sweet honey hops that lingerrr. Unimpressive looking in the glass but once itís in your face its like, ...; INYOURFACEAH! Very crisp and fresh tasting, I would like to have this on tap, I feel like it would be cleaner. Super truculently sweet, though it holds onto its dryness in a fashionable way in that immediately after the swallow the exhale is rough and biting with the hops hoisting their swords in the air and taking over your tongue like little taste-bud pirates. Argh. And the malts are bready and not caramelly to sweeten up the hops too much.Stoopid!, with a PhD in bitter.

22 oz bottle. I am always excited to see a hoppy brew like this on the shelf and it was a no brainer purchase. Pours a beautiful orange-brown color. Very sweet citrus hop aroma. Flavor is also quite sweet, much more so than I was expecting. While this is a bit of a disappointment, there is still a lot to like here, notes of orange, blueberry, pine and maybe honey. Extremely flavorful beer, although a little overly sweet in my opinion.

Pours a clear orange-tinted copper with a thin, fizzy off-white head. The nose is an explosion of grapefruit, lemon rind, orange zest and booze, along with some caramel. The flavor is full of vinous malts, orange, diacetyl (but in good proportion), a sweet carmel backbone and mango/tropical fruits. The palate is visous and slick, with gentle yet sharp carbonation and a warming alcoholic, drying finish. Palate duration is long, leaving piney and citrus rind hops on the back and sides of the tongue.

[2356-20090731] Bottle. Mild apple aroma is mostly hops. Hazy, light orange brown body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Nice hoppy flavour has lots of citrus rind and grass notes. Medium body is quite bitter. Lovely hoppy brew.
