The pour was a clear light amber and the aroma was very nice fruity/citrusy hops. This beer is well balanced for a double IPA with a nice malt body that became very citrusy in its hops. Not overly big nor overly hopped up, but Hop Stoopid was a delicious, easy drinking beer. abcfan (247), New Jersey, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 10, 2009 This beer has travelled a long way to get to Hamilton, New Zealand. It shows a bit, but there’s still an excellent beer here. For a start, it’s freaking beautiful in the glass. Glowing amber/orange, with a fluffy white head. The aroma exuding from the head is a lovely mix of grapefruit and oranges. The flavour is a little sickly sweet, and this is where I think the age and distance is showing a bit. Under the sweetness is a really nice mix of marmalade, toffee, and citrus. There’s a biting bitterness which builds up over the course of a pint. Great beer, can’t wait to try it fresh on tap in the US. brewski519 (403), Morrisville, North Carolina, USA

Intense grapefruit aroma along with hops, malt, caramel and flowers. Taste of grapefruit, orange, hops and malt. This beer certainly comes with the trademark Lagunitas grapefruit and hops kick. Solid Imperial IPA - glad I was able to track this brew down. Next time I will buy a few of them. altabessie (5), Lisle, Illinois, USA does not count | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2009 For a 100 plus IBU beer it was well balanced.
