4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tossed in by Lagunitasfan on a recent trade. As good as IPA can get for me, for sure. The Belgian influences are noticeable but not overt - this is not Chouffe. And yet the yeastiness and moldy, de garde-like qualities give way to a definite West Coast bright, sharp hoppiness. A real style amalgam of a beer and one I will seek out seasonally.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle shared by ajm during intermission at the 09er. An excellent IPA. Pours a warm copper color with a creamy white head. Smells and tastes of floral hops, assorted citrus, and an element of confectioners sugar for sweetness. Highly drinkable, especially for a double.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tons of candied fruits and Medjool dates in the aroma. Nice, balanced lightly sweet hoppy flavor. Not super bitter. My only complaint would be that the finish gets a wee bit thin and metallic, but it’s still really nice.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very good looking orange-gold color and white coating lace on the glass. Fruity on the first taste, then moves into a tasty, hoppy bite. This is a really good IPA.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Another winner from Lagunitas. Pours a rich copper color. Has a fruity aroma and a nice clean, crisp finish. One of my favorites.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Small white head, decent retention and a coating lace. Clear copper color. Ample fruity nose mainly citrus grapefruit pine and pineapple. Medium body with a sprightly carbonation. Medium sweet maltiness, light touch of graininess with more fruitiness apples, apricot, heavy caramel malts and just really juicey and resiny. Lightly sweet finish with a fair bite. Bottle acquired @stateline liquors and in a recent trade with DirtyMartini.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2009 bottle, gorgeous golden color, head is soapy and short lived, very heavy pine and apple juice nose, flavor fights back and forth between the malt and hops with finish that is a little flat

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2009 Bottle. Pours orange with an off white head. Sweet aroma of pine resin and citrus fruits. The flavor starts sweet and well balanced, with citrus fruits and ends with a nice bitter piny hop finish. Very nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a nice off-white head. Aggressive pine and citrus filled nose. Hops take center stage right off the bat with tons of citrus, fruit and resin notes. Otherwise ample malt profile seems rather anemic against the intense hop bitterness. Lingering bite in a semi-dry finish.
