UPDATED: OCT 27, 2008 I needed something after Illinois’ shit ass game against Wisconsin. Bottle from Shawan Liquors. Pours a translucent amber with a retentive white head. Nice citrusy and floral hop aroma. Medium bodied with a good mouthfeel. Flavor of toffee malts countered by a nice, but not overly aggressive grapefruit bitterness. Semi-dry grassy hoppy finish. Well balanced and easy to drink. If you are looking for a puckering hop bomb, this is not it. Its any easy drinking, simple IIPA. Reasonably priced to boot. Good job Lagunitas

22oz bottle. Poured a clear dark amber with a nice white head. Nice fresh piney aroma, very nice. Nice bitterness, not too much with a little citrus in the back. Very good DIPA.

Pours is a hazy orange with white head. Floral hops, grapefruit, citrus, caramel malt, bread, and grass. A nice tasting IIPA, but not incredibly complex.

Draft at Tyler’s in Durham, NC. Pours a hazy orange amber with a two finger white head. Nice lacing, Sweet citrus and floral aroma. Nice palate cleansing taste, citric, good amount of hops, carbonation was a bit much for my taste but otherwise a great, great, beer.

Awesome citrus hop aroma with a hint of spice. Pale amber gold color with a sweet citrus hop flavor up front but well balanced malt throughout. Light and medium dry mouthful.

Amber/orange pour, small head. Aroma of mild citrus, sweet malts. Very pleasant. Tastes great - again, it’s pretty mild but there is a really nice juicy tangerine hopiness to this beer. Also some very well balanced malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is on the light side, but still quite smooth. Good brew.

pint at Tylers Durham. Great aroma, sweet, soft citrus, tangerine and orange, some peach/apricot, some pine. Clean brownish orange color, good head that quickly faded to a rim, Ok lacing. Bitter sweet flavor, Sharp bitterness, grapefruit & grass. Toffee sweet maltiness hides in background. Medium body, creamy smooth mouthfeel, Bitter finish. Good brew, though the aroma got my hopes up, but the flavor headed down the typical ipa direction.

22 oz Perfect Pour - Gold, creamy white head. Intense honeyed pine and citric hop aromas warm to softer notes of tangerine and spruce. Supper hopped pine and citrus flavors flow into a slight herbal-like sweetness. Full bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. A great hop fix...

22 oz. bottle shared with alexanderj and kleyland at the 4th of July Celebration. Gold color. Thin, white head. Citrus hop aroma. Nice balance between the malt backbone and citrus hops. Long, bitter finish.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2009 Amber with thin, dimpled tan head. Aroma is resinous with sweet citrus and malt. Taste is dry and and cleanly bitter with good malt backbone, but it simply is not bitter enough to meet my expectations for 100IBU+. Carbonation is rather vigorous, which may compete with its hoppiness. $5/22oz
