~Pours a light golden amber color with big fluffy white head. ~Very aromatic! Could smell the hops from a distance! Citrus grapefruit hops with some sweet sugary malts. Sticky scent. ~The favor starts sweet at tip of tongue, but quickly turns into a grapefruit hop explosion. ~Medium sticky feel. Nice bitter sweet finish. ~ I wasn’t expecting anything from this brew. Man I’m glad I picked it up. This is very delicious! Very hoppy like I like, but not over the top. Yum!

Bottle, courtesy tpd975 I think. Pours a hazy golden color. Thin white head, fizzy carbonated lacing. Very sharp bitter hops in the nose, citrus, tangy, vanilla in finish. Flavor has a bitter start, nice full creamy malty body, with finishes bitter as expected. Smooth, sharp, very good. Very generous on the hops.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2008 Bottle thanks to Santa. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. The aroma is awesome; tons of citrus, ripe and full, plus a bunch of pine trees. The flavor is also great; a smooth initial citrus and vanilla flavor followed by a distinct, but mellow bitter hop. A smooth and juicy mouthfeel, and a dry finish. It’s like having a jolly rancher in your mouth. Some fizzy carbonation and almost no alcohol. Damn good.

Sweet but not cloying, with a long, dry, super bitter finish. I really don’t know what else to say. This is a great DIPA, and is one of the better brews that I have tasted from this style. Hop stoopid pretty much sums it up.

On tap at Risque Cafe. Pours dark orange with a think, white head. Smells of fruits and hops. Very strong hop flavors. Deliciously bitter. Alcohol is not overpowering at all.

Another bottle I have lying around after a trip to SF about a month ago. I got a chance to try it at Toronado, but there was no chance I could review it while there. Now’s the time. Poured golden/amber/orange and clear as glass. A nice single finger head layer tightly laces my pint glass. Sweet floral hops and citrus/tart aromas jump out at you. The nose is slightly tropical. Nice and hoppy flavors. Very floral still, but a bit piney, too. The hops also bring an oily/resined flavor. Deliciously bitter. I found this to be a deliciously drinkable IPA. Love the hop character and I could drink 3-4 of these before I knew I was too drunk to lift a glass. Great beer from one of my favorite breweries.

On tap @ Map Room. Nice orange pour with a white head. Really nice aroma of grapefruit and other citrus. Nice amount of grapefruit hops and good bitterness with some solid malt balance. Goes down amazingly well for a 8.2% beer. Really enjoyable. I love the name as well.

On tap at Grumpy Bulldog, Naperville, IL. Beautiful deep orange pour with a nice bit of head. Nose is resin pine with alcohol in the background. Grapefruit also comes through nicely. Flavor is dominated by those beautiful hops and there is a nice sweeness to the taste followed by a good malt presence then ending with an appropriate bitterness. Really good brew.

On tap at the Oregon Brewers Festival. IMHO, this was the best of the festival. I could never tire of this beer.
