3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On cask at the Real Ale Festival at PP Carlsbad. Appearance is cloudy and murky dirty yellow hue, thing white bubbles ring the outskirts, minimal lacing. Smell is a delicious aroma of pine needle and citrus hops, tea leaves, bread malts, lemon zest, light booze. Taste is initially lemon and grassy hops, pine resin soon after, tea leaves dominate the middle, finishes dry and bitter. Light/medium-bodied, oily resin texture, moderate carbonation. DIPA with amazing aroma and hop flavors, nicely balanced with the pale malts, definitely a solid west coast DIPA with low alcohol presence.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Glass draft at Charleston’s (New Lenox, IL). Pours a muted mixed golden amber color with a little haze and a small but sophisticated white head. Aromas are very floral and citrusy up front, leaving me very excited for this brew. Taste is very hoppy, citrus grapefruit dominates the character with some strong balancing sweet malt notes within. Hop character is strong and sticks with this brew through the whole experience. Finishes bitter but clean with a borderline refreshing feel (Unusual for a double!). A very nice IIPA that does the style proud. Will drink again hopefully.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear golden orange, with a mellow white head. Extensive hop nose running the gamut of resin, ctirus and graepfruit, with a cookie dough maltiness. Sweet, but clean maltiness with a well balanced flavor on all accounts.

Bottle in trade from gford217. Thanks man!
Pours a clear orange amber color with light beige head. Nice lacing too. Smell is clean, piney and grapefruit like. Taste is crisp, pine and grapefruite but some noticeable sweetness. Clean, despite the sweetness and very Pliny the Elder like, but a touch sweeter. Very good beer!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Uber Tavern, pours straw color with minimal head but lots of stickage. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus. Hopppy aroma flavor (amarillo?) that bites the tounge and stays strong in the aftertaste. Light body, goes down way too easy. Each sip tantalizes your taste buds and leaves wanting more. Good clean well hopped beer!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thanks to Juancho. Drank it in Panajachel Guatemala. Wow!!!!! It has become one of my favorite beers. Pours a crisp, golden color with a nice white head. Nice aromas of pine and citrus, light bodied, refreshing, cool taste in your mouth of grapefruit and mint. Extremely well balanced, high ibu and alcohol level blends in perfectly.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
~Pours a light golden amber color with big fluffy white head.
~Very aromatic! Could smell the hops from a distance! Citrus grapefruit hops with some sweet sugary malts. Sticky scent.
~The favor starts sweet at tip of tongue, but quickly turns into a grapefruit hop explosion.
~Medium sticky feel. Nice bitter sweet finish.
~ I wasn’t expecting anything from this brew. Man I’m glad I picked it up. This is very delicious! Very hoppy like I like, but not over the top. Yum!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, courtesy tpd975 I think. Pours a hazy golden color. Thin white head, fizzy carbonated lacing. Very sharp bitter hops in the nose, citrus, tangy, vanilla in finish. Flavor has a bitter start, nice full creamy malty body, with finishes bitter as expected. Smooth, sharp, very good. Very generous on the hops.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: AUG 6, 2008 Bottle thanks to Santa. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. The aroma is awesome; tons of citrus, ripe and full, plus a bunch of pine trees. The flavor is also great; a smooth initial citrus and vanilla flavor followed by a distinct, but mellow bitter hop. A smooth and juicy mouthfeel, and a dry finish. It’s like having a jolly rancher in your mouth. Some fizzy carbonation and almost no alcohol. Damn good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Sweet but not cloying, with a long, dry, super bitter finish. I really don’t know what else to say. This is a great DIPA, and is one of the better brews that I have tasted from this style. Hop stoopid pretty much sums it up.
