Bottle.Oh My what a great beer. Pours with a great golden to yellow color.
Great frothy head,. Fine floral aromas, very complex flavors of floral hops, some malts and citrus and spices. No real alcohol taste, very smooth. One of the best DIPAs I know of.

On draft. Poured a thick-looking deep orange with a moderately thick white head. Strong hop aroma, real floral and almost peppery. Thick palate. The hop taste kicked in after a brief delay in which some malts came through. The hop character was grapefruity and the finish was bitter and peppery, but didnít stick around for long. A commendable DIPA - nice aroma, decent taste, no real anstringency to speak of.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours orange with a medium, frothy white head. Big hop aroma, just attacks you right off of the bat, with a definite little spiciness to it as well. The taste was as i expected as well, big and hoppy. Very sharp taste, and I definitely got a little spice in there too mixed in with the monster hops. Slightly bitter in the finish with some grapefruit citrus making its way through the hops. Very good beer.

Rated 8/3/07. Draft at Redlight Redlight. Courtesy boboski. Oh yeah, this is a good one! Orange-gold color with a small, white, foamy head. Patchy lacing scattered randomly about the glass. Strong, and I do mean STRONG, citrus and piney hop aroma. Extreme pine resin and grapefruit on the nose. Though the hops are powerful, the buttery malts help the aroma to just skirt the thin line between overly hoppy and ideal, landing on the ideal side much to my delight. The flavor follows suit perfectly. There is a massive, almost numbing resinous hoppiness, but it has just enough toffee and buttery malts to make it very, very drinkable. Near perfect palate that is not overly sticky as some Double IPAís are. Goes down incredibly smooth for such a massively hoppy beer. Awesome IPA! An unforgettable beer.

As my brother would say . . . hoppy as balls. Aroma is SO hoppy, citrus all the way, lots of cascade. Flavor is good, strong citrus but with a nice malt compliment. I dig it.

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2008 Light sweet hop smell. Copper color. Wonderful bitterness! Very sweet, syrupy, and bitter.

Amazing. I like this better. More malt balance, but not too much--still heavily hop dominated. Syrupy warm alcohol palate. Fantastic IPA.
[Tasted next to a Green Flash Imperial IPA]
The Green Flash has a more complex flavor, and more sting.

22oz bottles shared at Columbus tasting 8 - Mine was from beervirgin72 - Thanks! - Poured amber with a short offwhite head and some lace. Aromas of citrus and floral hops over a good amount of caramel behind it. Flavor is hoppy in the fore with some grapefruit, pine and tangerine notes. Good malt background behind it. Decent balance and a bitter finish. Not a bad IIPA
