I always like that flowery/citrusy smell of a good NW IPA. Tastes more watery than I expected. Also thought 100+ IBUs would be more intense but the bitterness is mellowed out pretty well. marchcow (664), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 20, 2009 Sweet pineapple aromas with honey and pine hops. Golden yellow with a slight rose hue. Flavor of citrus and orange, orange zest, some caramel, a little saltiness, duration remains sweet with a hoppy bitterness mixed in. Palate is medium thick with a decent duration. Not many flavor changes throughout. Rich enough and enjoyable. 100 + IBU’s are not overwhelming. jonno (562), Brisbane, Australia

Shared with some of my co workers, wished I had saved it for myself, as it was a little lost on them. Sweet and nice and hoppy. Good balance for such a hoppy beer. Good price too for Japan. I like these guys. They make some good beers. halfonit (448), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 19, 2009 Pretty good stuff. Smells of hops with some citrus undertones. The undertones seem to be of grapefruit and orange peels. Taste has a big hop flavor. Some subtle citrus flavors come in during intake. This brew packs a nice little punch in the end. An overall pleasant experience. shotgunn (33), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Pours deep amber orange w/a small off wite head that disipates quickly. To the nose it has nice sweet floral hops, pine and some citrus. First taste is sweet hops, some honey undernotes and a hop bite that then lingers on the palate. I’m giving this one a 5! It is all that you can ask for from and imperial IPA. I love it, job well done. Cheers! monkeychugg55 (222), Joliet, Illinois, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 17, 2009 Pours a deep apricot color with a small, chunky, off white head that leaves some nice lacing. The aroma is a warm combination of pine, lemongrass, grapefruit, and floral hops with a hint of sweet caramel malt. Flavor is nice and bitter, with citrus fruit and crystal malt. Full yet easy drinking palate is slightly oily and quite bitter on the finish. A hop heads dream come true. Hop aroma and a bit of alcohol on the nose. Thinner body than I was expecting, but nothing to be upset about. Hops immediately, grapefruit and citrus zest, with a smooth maltier finnish. A very pleasant double ipa. CamdenD (606), Madrid, Spain
