Bigmmartin (366), Dayton, Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2009 Strong hop aroma followed by a grassy, hop flavor. Some citrus present as well. Body is thin, but finish is crisp. Damn good IPA considering the price. Nice one. paulmetzger (152), Pocatello, Idaho, USA Jul 5, 2009 22oz bottle. Light amber with tight bubbled amble head. Aroma is loads of citrus, particularly grapefruit but also some floral notes. Hop explosion the whole way through. Crisp, malt not bogging down the hops like in many high IBU beers, nor detracting alcohol flavors. Body carries the flavor well. An excellent IPA nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 5, 2009 Bottle. Appearance: Pours a clear copper with a moderate, frothy off-white head. Aroma: I get a mix of sweet and bitter citrus on the nose. Flavor: It tastes of orange, grapefruit, and pine. Palate: Medium body with a crisp finish btgpdx (9), USA does not count Jul 5, 2009 Aroma is all hops obviously. There is a little citrus there, but its mostly green and resin smells and flavors. I love it, but understand that its not for everyone. Hopper (277), San Antonio, Texas, USA Jul 4, 2009 Pours golden orange. Aroma is grassy, citrus, & bountiful fruit. Taste is grapefruit, orange, grass, & bitter. Not quite as bitter as I would have thought for 102 IBU, but a great beer. I wish there was more where I bought this because I would clean them out. badgerben (3586), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jul 2, 2009 Copper color with a medium head. Big aroma of oranges, tangerines and grapefruit. Lightly grassy as well. The taste is strongly bitter and acidic, almost harsh. The hop flavor nearly disappears, leaving only light pine. Philip (436), Illinois, USA Jul 2, 2009 Bottle from Friar Tuck, Savoy. With a name like Hop Stoopid, I expected the hops to dominate everything else. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was some balance to this beer. It reminded me a bit of Founder’s Devil Dancer, with it’s pleasant notes of grass, caramel, and honey, and a finish of pine and grapefruit. Nicely done for the style, and a beer I expect would age rather well. masonjer (562), Holt, Michigan, USA Jul 2, 2009 Happend by this in the grocery store the other day. What a nice surprise. This went great with pulled pork sandwhiches. Poured fairly light in color, a nice golden orange color, with a white head. Aroma was sharp piney hops, with a touch of sweet malt. Taste was much the same, with a nice long piney finish. Really just a well hopeed beer without too much malt getting in the way.
