This pours a pretty orange into the glass, with a nice eggshell head that leaves generous spotty lace. The nose is perfect spot-on for grapefruit, oranges and a forest bed of pine needles. Nice grapefruit, rind/zest/peel, easy-going malts, some oranges... yummy. The finish is of nice lingering pine resin, and maybe just a kiss of alcohol to close the pull. The mouthfeel is substantive, yet very, very smooth and easily drinkable. This may in fact be the easiest quaff for an IIPA I’ve ever had. Complex, yet the ABV is absolutely superbly integrated. It never feels heavy or slathering in the mouth. Very nice job on the integration of this one. mbgrayson (142), Anaconda, Montana, USA

Still, I wanted to give this one a try. Very strong and grassy flavor, it deserves the 100+ IBU rating: BITTER. Woulldn’t have another, but glad I tried it. kidmartinek (975), austin, Texas, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jul 7, 2009 Blond with an amber tinit. Good head that lasts like a lagunitas should. Aroma of sweet pine and well, the best hops there is! Laces like a naughty grandma. Flavor is as bitter as they come. which is what you want in a beer like this. Drinks like a session. Masquerades like a 4%. Stoopid bitter from all those farmhouse hops. Amarillo? Chinook? Even Summit? Is this beer that good?...naw!!! I love how it changes color in the glass from orange tinted gold to yellow and back again, as you shift it through the light.Carbonation is abundant, and the finish is full strength, and smooth. dcschiller (20), Arizona, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 7, 2009 (bottle) clean, clear gold appearance. Nose is very powerful. Grapefruity and hoppy. Strong citrus and nice (bitter) hops go back and forth. The beer packs a nice punch early, but fades quickly. The aftertaste, however, does last a long time. bleeng (595), Spring near Beersel, Texas, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Bomber. Very clear, bright gold with a thick white head. Nose is very citrusy and sharp hops. Very sweet, tasty, a bit syrupy with a decent hop profile. Very easy to drink and the alcohol is not overbearing. Slightly thin but the flavor holds all the way through the finish. Well done. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Strong hop aroma followed by a grassy, hop flavor. Some citrus present as well. Body is thin, but finish is crisp. Damn good IPA considering the price. Nice one. paulmetzger (152), Pocatello, Idaho, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Jul 5, 2009 22oz bottle. Light amber with tight bubbled amble head. Aroma is loads of citrus, particularly grapefruit but also some floral notes. Hop explosion the whole way through. Crisp, malt not bogging down the hops like in many high IBU beers, nor detracting alcohol flavors. Body carries the flavor well. An excellent IPA nerdrocker101 (102), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
