There is a little citrus there, but its mostly green and resin smells and flavors. I love it, but understand that its not for everyone. Hopper (295), San Antonio, Texas, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 4, 2009 Pours golden orange. Aroma is grassy, citrus, & bountiful fruit. Taste is grapefruit, orange, grass, & bitter. Not quite as bitter as I would have thought for 102 IBU, but a great beer. I wish there was more where I bought this because I would clean them out. badgerben (3592), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2009 Copper color with a medium head. Big aroma of oranges, tangerines and grapefruit. Lightly grassy as well. The taste is strongly bitter and acidic, almost harsh. The hop flavor nearly disappears, leaving only light pine. Philip (436), Illinois, USA

With a name like Hop Stoopid, I expected the hops to dominate everything else. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was some balance to this beer. It reminded me a bit of Founder’s Devil Dancer, with it’s pleasant notes of grass, caramel, and honey, and a finish of pine and grapefruit. Nicely done for the style, and a beer I expect would age rather well. masonjer (563), Holt, Michigan, USA

This went great with pulled pork sandwhiches. Poured fairly light in color, a nice golden orange color, with a white head. Aroma was sharp piney hops, with a touch of sweet malt. Taste was much the same, with a nice long piney finish. Really just a well hopeed beer without too much malt getting in the way. aracauna (2374), Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 1, 2009 This really isn’t that bitter for a 100+ IBUs, but then it’s a little on the sticky side from the malt. There’s a good caramel malt to this a resinous hop aroma, but this really seems less aggressively hopped than the Stone Sublimely Self Righteous that I bought the same day. coyotehunter (545), , Michigan, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Bomber. Pours a gin clear copper color with a big nose of pine and citrus. Lots of grapefruit flavor, followed by a ton of bitter. Medium carbonation with a thinnish palate, but still a pretty good beer. lithy (1650), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 1, 2009 Clear copper orange with a thin but lasting off white cover. Nice pine, resin hop aroma, some caramel and toasted malts. Taste is more spicy hops, huge pine resin, a lingering bitterness, a touch of fruitiness either from the hops or the malt, sweet caramel and toffee base.
