Jun 21, 2009 22 oz bottle. Clear light golden pour with a moderate off white head. Nice hop aroma, piney, citrusy and strong. Flavor is more of the same, nice caramel sweetness up front with a strong bitter hoppy finish. An exceptional beer.

Jun 21, 2009 Really....will it get better than this? I am so glad the guys at Lagunitas decided to make this a regular production beer and not a seasonal. I really don’t see a need to blather on about this as it seems everyone here tends to agree that this is AWESOME IPA.

Jun 20, 2009 Picked it up at Armanetti’s in Chicago today. clear, golden orange with minimal head. nose is dominated by the citrus (grapefruit) with some caramel maltiness in the background. Hint of alcohol in the nose, but hardly perceptible. Flavor is well-balanced mix of grapefruit and malts. Has a nice lingering bitter finish.

Jun 20, 2009 With great thanks to HogTownHarry for sharing this baby with me. Appearance: Beautiful golden orange with a decent creamy off white head. Aroma: Super fruity, sharp, mangos, pineapple, malt and just juicy hops! Flavour: Wow! Juicy! Seriously hoppy with pineapple, mango, salt, more hops, bitter, citrus with a lovely sweet citrus finish. Nice indeed.

Jun 19, 2009 pine, citurs aroma. Pours orange/golden with mid range head. Pine tar hops in the middle. There is a grassy, hay quality near the end, then more hops.

Jun 19, 2009 Pours gold with white head and good lacing. Aroma and taste is very citrusy with lots of hops but not quite as bitter as some double IPAs. This is my favorite beer that I have had from Lagunitas, and a great double IPA.

Jun 18, 2009 These are the the kind of beers I love. Beer pours dark, honey color with a big, totally retained off white head. Aroma is massive with layers of pine and grapefruit more pine and grapefruit. Flavor is citric bitter with none of the anoying cloying sweetness of some imperial IPAs. This is an excellent beer and rates with some of the greats!@

Jun 18, 2009 Excellent IIPA, with a heavy body and appreciable bitterness. The aroma is heavy with piney resin. The heavy body hides the bitterness until the finish.
