The benefit of business travel is getting to explore the local grog. This one is fantastic! Not too bitter but a ton of aroma and flavor-of-the-flower...HOPS RULE!! drainey (231), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Aroma could almost have been grapefruit juice - citrus, citrus, citrus. Flavor had a very nice hop bite, but little else. I almost felt like it was an American macrobrew with a hop finish. Fairly tasty, easy to drink, but I didn’t think it was anything special. 41cubs (134), , New Jersey, USA

I was looking for a funky saison-esque type IIPA in this due to the name but got none of that. Nice beer although kind of standard fare with the only big difference in flavor or taste that I gathered was the forward presence of grassiness existing right along with the bitter citrus (no floral or sweet citrus here at all). Mouthfeel is great though, with the carbonation only detectable when you swallow. The rest of the time it has a weighty simple syrup feel. Nice beer, and very drinkable for the style. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Tap @ Porky’s - San Leandro: Dark gold color with a white head and sticky lacing. Super hoppy aromas of the farm like wet hay, pine, light juniper and white vinegar. The taste is super hoppy - hay, fermaldyhyde and the strong alcohol taste rises up through the mouth and into the nasal cavity with a slight burn. It has a great bitter aftertaste and not as sweet as some 2IPA’s. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

The aroma contains some perfume, peaches, and oranges. The flavor contains some peaches, oranges, and pine. Upon first taste I thought this wasnt that bitter however the finish is extremely bitter. Good malt profile to this one as well. Overall a good IIPA! Cirrhosis (615), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 16, 2009 Pale shiny copper body with a massive long lasting tan cap. Yum yum that be one tasty aroma. Ginger ale, pine, grape fruit, lime. Daa so many smells so little time. Taste is so very bitter and so very clean. So many hops!!!! Rich roasted malts are very nice but the hops are just kicking there ass. Pine, lime, some peach, a touch of caramel I could go on for a while with the tastes My burp just tasted like gin and tonic. Brew has a sweet start with a intense bitter finish. Excellent beer!! satan165 (562), River Grove, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 15, 2009 intense aroma of grapefruit and lime. appearance is a shockingly plain golden that defies the wildness inside. i could keep my nose jammed in the glass for a good long time. flavor almost stands up to the nose -- more citrus, the bitterness practically burns. there are lots of good IIPAs out there, but few can provide this kind of aroma -- and thats what pushes this into the upper echelon.
