MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 5, 2009 (Sample Date: 3/8/2009 Source:Other) Richmond Beer Dig. Grassy floral hop nose with some supporting caramel. Clear amber golden with a small white head. Grassy floral hop flavor with some toastyness and grainy caramel to back. Medium/full body and mouth feel. Finish is medium and fairly bitter. travita (1851), Frisco, Texas, USA Jun 4, 2009 The look is clear, golden in color, with a decent white head. The smell is great, grapefruits, hops, fruits, floral, citrus, pine, caramel, and hops. The taste is a medium bitterness, floral, fruits, citrus, and hops. Good value as well. msante79 (778), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2009 Bomber from Kenwood Liquors in Oak Lawn. Pours clear golden orange with white head. Aroma is massive with grapefruit, tons of hops and a little pine. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, little caramel, and finishes with bitter hops. Not that much malt but is balanced for the high IBU. Medium body and smooth on palate for such a hopbomb. Really good DIPA and dirt cheap at under $4. Thanks Lagunitas. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 3, 2009 Sampled at Johnny’s Sidebar. A huge hop profile. A big tart grapefruit bite. Hopheads will love this beer. Some caramel for sweetness but it is a distant second to those hops. mrhoppy (209), Santa Clara, California, USA Jun 3, 2009 Updated: Oct 6, 2009Now this is the bomb. Hop bomb that is. Every hop head in the nation needs to try this one! Punch you in the nose. Slither over your tongue. Glide down your throat and blow your mind! Then die with a smile on your face.
I tried it again and noticed something. Whoa, whoa whoa? Wait a minute. Ive been duped! It says on the bottle they used hop extracts. Arrgh! I knew there was something sickly sweet and artificial about this one. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Jun 1, 2009 Bomber courtesy of CelticBrew. Clear orange/amber pour with a yellowish white head that shows some good durability. Ths is a real hop bomb, with a huge hit of grapefruit. If yo can work through that, some toffee and fruit aromas are detectable. Medium body, resinous palate, and very dry. Teh hop bitterness begins its assault quickly, leaving litte room for the malt to show through. Long, bitter finish is not unexpected. NIce. Chef Chad (102), Grand Junction, Colorado, USA Jun 1, 2009 This hop beast was loaded on the nose with pine, citrus and some other fruit... Pours a A good burnt orange color with a nice white head that does last the whole beer. Mouthful was medium body with a bit too much carbonation for me and the beer finish crisp. Flavor was hoppy but not as much as I thought it would be.. That being said it was still balanced and had a nice malty sweetness to it. Lost of grapefruit on the front but not enough hop on the back... Nice beer and I enjoyed it. Drewsi227 (16), Florida, USA May 31, 2009 Pours a bronze with a nice thick head, smells greatly of hops , pine, and citrus.. Amazing beer worth every second, would reccomend to anyone
