"the look was nice, and what is expected of the style...ich thick foam resting atop a golden orange body. Even the cap smelled of resinous hops. the aroma is quite appealing...good mix of hops here, some spice, pine, and citrus. mouthfeel hides the alcohol well and goes down smooth. flavor is good, grapefruit & pine resin, with a touch of spice and alcohol. Overall, a very good brew, especially for hopheads. Similar to Anderson Valleys, but better. Reminds one a little of the fresh aroma of a Lagunitas Imperial Red or IPA - hopefully this one isn’t plagued by consistency issues like those 2. "

Poured from 1 pint 6 fl oz bottle. Clear, light orangey yellow with full white head. Aroma of caramel malt and strong grassy and grapefruity hops. Same flavour. Excellent balance in sweetness and bitterness.

Aroma: intense resin, flowers, some grass. Appearance: hazy gold, big, creamy, white head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: intensifying bitters, massive flowers, overripe fruit, resin and grass. Overall: incredibly nice IPA, an explosion in aroma and palate. Bottle at the Freakin’ Frog, Las Vegas.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Golden Orange color, with fluffy white head that leaves beautiful lacing. Aroma is sticky hops, a bit of caramel. Taste is dry, citrus, resin, nice bite from the hops balanced with subtle malt. Overall, this was my first 100+ IBU beer the first time I had it and after enjoying this so much I became a hop-head. Still one of the best DIPAs you can buy.

Pours a cloudy deep amber with a frothy off white head with some hop resin in it. Aroma of resin, citrus hops, grapefruit, pine, kinda sappy and some sweet caramel malt aromas. Taste is an extremely well balance of citrus hops and pale malts. Caramel, pine, grapefruit, resin and a huge bitterness that?s never astringent and in well balance with the malt and as it starts a bit sweet it finishes about semi dry. Awesome double ipa!

Golden orange and clear. Thin white foam. Sweet malt can be detected between the citrus and floral hops. Strong bitterness is easily palatable with nice support from the malt. 8% alcohol is hidden well.

Clear medium amber with a two finger off white head that hangs around and leaves a lot of lace. Nose is big pine resin with some citrus and then some more pine with a light toffee hiding behind it all. Exceptionally bitter all the way through with enough sweet malt backbone to keep it from being really, really stoopid. Mouth is medium full an creamy with a lingering bitter finish Fully expected this to be excessively astringent, but it is actually very drinkable for the level of bitterness and the alcohol is well hidden.

22 oz bottle from Fred Meyer in Hillsboro, OR. Aroma is grassy and piney, with hints of barnyard and resin. Mouthfeel is sweet and smooth in the beginning, and finishes crisp, with a long bitter and slightly astringent aftertaste. Great balance between hop profile and malt backbone.
