Stays "lighter" and crisp while still packing in a high ibu punch. Easy drinking for a DIPA and loaded w/ flavor. I dig this a lot. And a great price at $5. Sign me up. Aroma of citrus and hops with a little something woody. Good body with a decent hop profile and good overall balance. Not as bitter of hoppy as i was lead on to believe by the descitption. still overall a very good beer. Alcohoarder (22), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2009 22 oz bottle. Bright orange with hint of red. Floral and citrus on nose. Not overly bitter, hops are well integrated. Solid beer. There is some mention about hop extract being used on the bottle. Not sure how I feel about that. I guess, if it’s good, who cares? | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 29, 2009 About a 1 inch thick head of fine and dense bubbles. Light carbonation. FANTASTIC aroma loaded with mandarin oranges, pineapple and all things citrus. Absolutely amazing! I just want to start drinking this brew. Color is a nice clear dark orange. A little bit frothy in the mouth. Slightly sweet malts, lots of hops bitterness, more citrus fruit and some bready malts. With claiming over 100 IBU’s I expected this brew to be bitter beyond belief and more similar to a Stone Ruination ale. This is very drinkable and goes down super easy! It is not leaving a dry pasty feeling in the mouth like some other IIPA’s. Light alcohol presence. Finishes a bit on the malty side with some lingering bitterness and dryness. A very, VERY good IIPA, that is super easy to drink and very affodable for the quality. thegreenrooster (1818), St.louis, Missouri, USA

Aroma is a nice effervecent hop with some cirtrusy goodness. Flavor is an abundance of fresh hops with a little sweetness at then end. This is very good and easy to drink. Gets extra points for being affordable like all of this brewers beers. Jonte (815), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2009 22 oz. Bomber from Champanes poured into a Kuhnhenn tulip glass, has a very clear copper pour with orange and gold intertwined, gave an off-white head with lots of effervescence, the head is persistent, the glass always had a thin cover and ring, and the ale leaves bubbly lacing on the sides of the glass, big hop aroma of flowers, pine, toasted malt and caramel in the background, this is clearly a hop forward beer, I got flavors of toasted malt, caramel, and lots of hops, light fruit in the background, hops do not bite the tongue with a coarseness that I expect from a IPA2 hoppy beer but leaves the palate pretty dry after the finish, I can feel the hop bitterness on the palate but it is so smooth on the tongue and mouth I would never know it has over 100 IBUs or that this is a hoppy IPA2, malt flavor is lacking some if you like a balanced hop and malt flavored beer, but if you like a big hop beer this is it, the hop bite grows a bit and the bitterness is more evident as the ale reaches room temperature but still this is very smooth drinking, has a nice mouth feel, this is one of the smoothest IPA2 I have had, hops are big on the nose and palate but it does not have that coarse bite, it is as though a switch was thrown between the time I smelled the beer and when I take a drink, it has a big hop nose and you know it is going to have a big bite but the hop bitterness and bite is not there, this is easily a sneaker of a drink, I found this to be very smooth and easy to drink, has to be the easiest IPA2 I have drank so far, even easier than some IPAs I have had, I think this would be a great IPA2 to have your newby try because the hop bite is minimal, a very nice IPA2!
